We are locals that enjoyed a brief stay to escape the latest heatwave. Air con not the most powerful, but definitely working and kept us much more comfortable than our home (the room stayed at roughly 24-25 in the day and dropped to 23 overnight). Room was clean. Bed very comfortable. Staff attentive and helpful.

Great property close to the train station that is connected to the ExCel center (trains, not the hotel). The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and the staff goes above and beyond! My room was large with a huge window seat where I could relax, get work done or just read a book while enjoying the view. The king sized bed was large and comfortable with high end sheets and pillows. The bathroom was huge and had a shower, separate tub, and great lighting. There were robes slippers and nice toiletries. Evening ice delivered to the rooms was a nice touch. The restaurant was excellent, not a huge menu but I think it is better to have few excellent dishes rather than a lot of mediocre ones. Try the salted caramel ice cream for dessert. Sounds simple but was so good I ended ep getting it for room service each night. The hotel is sophisticated, elegant, and situated with views of the river. Incredible views of the river really. Would be a great hotel for corporate meetings. I felt pampered and would absolutely stay here again if going to the Excel center or anywhere nearby.

Excellent service and attentive staff, hotel facilities all great although we did not have time to use the spa/pool sadly. Hotel seemed very quiet so atmosphere a little lacking. Room was clean and spacious with a fabulous view of the river, although the decor seemed a little dated and in need of some TLC. Breakfast great but additional cost. Overall a great hotel stay with excellent access to the Thames clipper for access to the O2 and also central London.

I had a great stay here when in canary wharf for meetings. Although the hotel is little dated for a 5*, it has an amazing leisure centre access with beautiful riverside pool. The staff were all really attentive and fantastic. Particular shout to Cindy who was super helpful to me on reception. Really appreciate it.

We had a fantastic river view. We used the swimming pool which was good, along with the spa.

Bit overrated and needs a revamp. Useful and good location for Marathon. They need to rethink amenities- no kettle / tea / biscuits for a 5* hotel

Nice hotel, well located

Overall was good…one thing though was that they don’t provide kettle and tea bags in the room…we have to request for them…there were coffee and coffee machine but we don’t drink coffee!

Great location and amenities.

Room was good condition, clean and spacious. All the staff were nice and helpful. Hotel however is overpriced and absolutely not worth £300 a night, minibar prices are okay for soft drinks. Spirits very expensive. Restaurant lacked choice and was £20 for a small bit of stone bass.

Room was spotless, The use of the Virgin gym facilities was fantastic. Staff were very helpful and brough a kettle to the room when asked. It was very quiet on Friday but sadly it was noisy and difficult to sleep on Saturday night due to the cars racing around outside the hotel in the underground area of canary wharf. Better to be on the River side that the city side of the hotel during the weekend
