This hotel had very friendly helpful staff and the complimentary breakfast was good in a stunning dining room. Our bedroom was satisfactory but felt a little dated and was in need of a refurbishment. The bathroom also needed updating abd was a bit grubby in places. Also the plumbing nade some strange noises. Despite this we enjoyed our stay in Alnwick. The close proximity to castle and town made for a very good holiday. We loved the very friendly Fleece Inn over the road.

Our room was excellent and comfortable. The service was awesome. We met Lisa in the front desk. What an amazing person. She was sweet, caring and always had a smile while helping us. We loved all the staff. The location is super because we were able to walk to the castle and the gardens. Overall, an awesome place to stay.

Room was amazing, very central & accommodating. We paid for a package, we had our meal in the olympian the menu was however very basic but it was lovely the staff on the night were friendly, chatty and nothing was a bother. He was very attentive. We also had breakfast. We asked for ours at 9AM we were turned away until at least 9:40 when we went back in and reminded them we were still waiting we were shown to a table and asked if we would like any tea or coffee and toast which we still didnt receive so we left and went to a lovely little cafe down the road. The menu was very limited for vegetarians and because it was nearly the end of breakfast there wasn't much left and the food wasn't being refilled. The staff were struggling with the volume of people even though they should be expecting that volume with it being a busy hotel? The tables weren't being cleared and the ones that were glasses and cups were juat thrown on the bar, there was orange and apple juice on the bar but no cups were being cleaned so we were unable to get some? This breakfast experience wasn't great and it did dim the weekend a little bit but the rest of the hotel ans the staff the night before at the restaurant were amazing. Would stay again but would avoid the breakfast.

Coach holiday with Cairngorm Travel. Hotel was extremely good. Staff, food and rooms were a lot better than some hotels we have stayed in. The staff go above and beyond to look after you. Choices of food at evening meal were mouth watering and our room (2) was lovely and quiet. Could be accessed via through hotel or through the pretty little garden, which we preferred! The dining room is breath taking - take time to look at it! Quite a lot of steps and stairs, so care and attention is needed, no lift available.

Our room was very nice, but it was very warm the week we spent there and the duvet was too heavy, so we slept on top of it! The hotel should consider summer weight duvets from April through to September. There was a great view of the castle from our bedroom window. The service was great and all the staff were very friendly. A shout out to George who was knowledgeable, entertaining and had a great repour with all the guests. Location good, it was our first visit to Alnwick and Northumberland and we enjoyed everyday we spent there.
