We had a lovely, relaxed stay in a sea view room. Staff were always helpful and the breakfast was very good.

We had a long weekend of 3 nights in a junior suite. Our room was of a good size but the sofa was beyond its sell by date. It had lost its sprung seating & was extremely low. Having spoken to Stephen the G Manager who assured us new units were on order. We had already asked our cleaner who sorted some large square cushions to raise the seats. We went to a tribute evening with meal as well as the Sunday Carvery that was excellent too. Our suite had a sea view as the hotel is on the promenade. Very quiet uncommercialised area so a peaceful nights sleep too. Free parking aswell. Good range of breakfast items although for a hotel of this grade l felt queueing up to do your own toast & only one drink machine for potentially 60 + people to be extremely poor. It didnt help with the tea machine by being in a corner at the end of a buffet area. Sometimes 10 people would gather for tea & toast that was shambolic. Lastly cups, plates, bread etc atc was slow to be replenished too & needed several asks. It took the edge off a stunning stay We will be back tho & hope the breakfast issues have improved.

Place needs a major refurb. Everything’s worn, tatty, pillows are flat as a pancake, carpets stained, cobwebs dangling from the ceiling and don’t get me started on their breakfast. Inedible. It resembled Fawlty Towers.

The room (The Bridal Suite) was excellent with lovely views of the sea and Golf Course. However, our stay was spoilt by the very poor and virtually non existent WiFi connection. Blamed on the location of the room, it’s difficult to believe that given the status of the room and what must be a popular wedding venue, that the management said that they have had no previous complaints. Hope our suggestions get actioned

This grand Victorian Hotel is brilliantly located on the sea front in Hythe. It is very well staffed both in terms of numbers and in how helpful they are. Really good air conditioned room: well laid out, spacious, with a massive bath and shower room, and clean and nicely decorated. Good bar and restaurant. Great breakfast options, including a specialist vegan and vegetarian menu for this interested. Free car parking on site. Very competitively priced. Couldn’t fault our stay and would definitely book again.

Only stayed one night but was so worth the price before going for the euro tunnel next morning. Got upgraded to a suite room with stunning views of the beach

I thought breakfast was not worth the money. I would have expected real coffee for that money. The staff were a bit vague about the choices on the menu and how it worked. The air conditioning in one of the rooms we booked was not working and the portable one was hopeless. We didn’t realise this until we went to bed. Not were we aware we could have called someone at a late hour

This is a good classic Victorian hotel. Sea view room was clean and big enough. Bed was huge ! Bathroom clean with excellent large shower. Good buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly and courteous. My only other comment is I think £300 for one night was a little expensive., which compares to a reasonable London room.

The internal decoration has been carried out with grey wallpaper, charcoal colour carpet and black or dark brown woodwork. I found it to have an overall effect of gloominess, though some people might like it. The buffet breakfast is adequate, though items run out and are not replenished towards the end of breakfast service. The location is great and there is masses of parking.

Location of hotel was perfect . Walking distance to town beach across from hotel . Local bus service available down the coast . Our room was very nice . Housekeeping , cleaned well and relished daily . All staff were polite and pleasant . Breakfast was disappointing . Not displayed well . Request for poached eggs took forever each morning and were like hard boiled eggs by the time they were received . The breakfast layout just looked a mess .

The room was clean, but the AC filter was very dirty, making the unit work very hard, but it functioned! The view was amazing, the breakfast good (but the same everyday we stayed) and the staff was very nice. It is a grand older hotel in a beautiful location with free parking. We will go back!
