When we booked, it didn’t seem clear that there was only a specific type of room we could book to bring a dog. I was messaged after booking and was asked to pay a bit extra for a different room. When we arrived we also were asked to pay a fee for bringing the dog with us.
If you are sensitive to light you will need to bring an eye covering as the room was illuminated by light coming from the hallway and the edges of the curtains. Also, the bed was soft.
We had dinner here, which included chicken breast from the “large plates” section of the menu - a lone chicken breast for £20.
The staff were kind but overstretched. When we had breakfast, the event took about two hours. We really needed to get going but were waiting for our order.
As we had a dog with us, we were informed at breakfast that we couldn’t enter the restaurant area and were asked to sit in the bar, which was unstaffed. Later, someone came to take our order, but we hadn’t seen a menu. When our food arrived, it was the wrong order. We had to go into the restaurant three times to find out where our food was. Luckily I was with my wife, as I don’t know how this could have been done on my own with a dog. Drinks were also self-serve, which would have been impossible if I was alone with my dog. Eventually we got our breakfast after 2 hours and took it straight up to our room as we had to leave.
