My son and I stayed here twice during the summer of 2026. They have a spacious terrace on the lake with a private beach area to sun tan and swim, as well as rentals for various watercraft. The staff were pleasant and professional but I would not so overly friendly. They did their job but did not exhibit a “go the extra mile” for the guest. Our room was clean and spacious for the two of us, with a small balcony facing the West - so partial lake view and beautiful sunsets. The food at the restaurant on the terrace via the bar was decent and not overly expensive for a hotel, but then you’re paying for some of the best sunsets and lake views in Penticton for a hotel right on the water’s edge. The two elevators for room access were somewhat slow and for the size of the hotel we felt were not sufficient. The small indoor pool is accessed via a rather convoluted “after thought” hallway. We ended up not using it in preference of the lake as it was beautiful outside and the pool was overly crowded at the moment we arrived with little children. We did not use the attached gym.

Amazing place ! Great location ! Amazing staff ! All around a wonderful place. I’ve been coming for summer vacations here for over 10yrs and truly love it there, but… it’s time to do some Reno’s in the rooms guys. Rooms are a little dated and it’s time to spruce it all up. That’s the only thing it lacks. Other than that amazing ! Thank you !

This is a well-maintained, renovated property on the lake in Penticton. It’s my favourite hotel in town because it’s right on the lake, has a private little beach, a pool, gym and excellent restaurants.

I have come here for 6 years straight and always stay at the west wing, I would highly recommend staying in that building.

This hotel has an excellent location right on the water with great amenities;pool, restaurants, beach chairs, towels, water sport rentals, etc. the main parts of the hotel were updated but the rooms are terribly outdated, the mattresses Must be at least 20 year old, not comfortable at all. The heating system is also very old and cannot set a temp so you will be either hot or cold. The restaurant on site is ok but small menu selection.

The staff were very helpful, especially reception. The main issue was that they didn’t have enough staff to clean the rooms and have them ready for those checking in. We checked in early and were told the room would be ready between 3-4 PM. Our room wasn’t ready in time and we ended up waiting and waiting along with other guests. The other change since last year is the removal of the complementary EV charging stations. They have been replaced by paid charging stations but nobody at the front desk knew how they worked or if you can just charge it to your room. I have stayed here multiple times over the past three decades and this is first time I’ve been disappointed.

We enjoyed our stay at Lakeside Resort Penticton and appreciated our room, especially the partial lake view. The property has a beautiful setting and a lot of potential, but unfortunately, the overall experience did not quite match the price we paid. While the room was generally comfortable, we felt that some details could have been improved. The mattress was not as comfortable as we expected, and a better-quality bed would make a big difference in the overall guest experience. We also felt that the housekeeping service could have been better. We stayed for three nights and requested fresh bed sheets, including placing the linen change sign, but unfortunately this was not completed. In addition, the room could have felt fresher and more welcoming. Small touches such as a pleasant scent or more attention to room freshness would have helped create a more comfortable stay. We were also surprised that breakfast was not included, especially considering the nightly rate. We travel locally quite often and understand that hospitality costs have increased, but we also expect the level of service, comfort, and amenities to reflect the price being charged. We don’t usually leave negative feedback, but we wanted to share our honest experience. The resort has a great location and beautiful surroundings, but improving the details — from room upkeep and bedding comfort to overall guest service — would help make the stay feel more worthwhile.

The staff were amazing and whenever we needed something they attended to us quickly. We were sad that the barking parrot does not allow minors as we came with our teenage children. Overall it's a great resort. The small private beach is a bonus and just outside the doors.

We stayed two nights in the West Wing. Loved the room layout, and sitting out on that balcony reading and enjoying coffee and the view made for a great start to each day. The young lady who helped me with early check in was lovely and helpful, calling me when the room was ready after arranging to have my bag (which was stored) brought up to room before my arrival.
