Stayed in a few village hotels and had no issues. Dont think will return to this one. There is building work taking place in an extention to the hotel. We were put in a room in that building. It was hard to navigate to mainly because you cannot access it from inside the main hotel. The reception didnt look like she wanted to be in work and gave minimal instructions one being to go through a party in the function hall to get the the building. Yet there was a sign on the door saying not to enter! We walked all the way around the building, got to the lift to be told by a builder that the lift was out of order and we shouldn't be in that part of the building so made to go back to reception. Headed to reception, same lady again who wasn't helpful, sent us in a main lift and along a long corridor, but at the end of that corridor was a door saying no entry building site! Back to reception and told to cut through party cross the road and go up stairs 3 floors with a suitcase! Not impressed room was on a building site and the room had damp stains on the roof and had a funny smell. Headed back to reception to ask for a new room, and given one in main hotel same size..so why wasn't this the first option? Why send a guest to a building site? Pool area was really busy, too many people really to relax and very loud with kids! Bar area was very busy, but staff were doing there best especially with football on. Hotel overall good location for what we needed but wouldn't rush back.

A deeply frustrating day. Excessive noise due to parties on 2 of my 3 nights and even more so with very disruptive children ruining my final night by poor behaviour (banging on doors, banging, running in the corridors, knocking on my door). Hotel staff did not act properly to sort, despite informing them. Offered me a refund to apologise that they are now appear to trying to step back from.

Great hotel, room great , facilities great. The breakfasts well worth the money. Only thing could improve is the check in staff check out staff got the impression didnt really want to be there, didnt really want to help, apart from that perfect stay.

It is a nice place especially for the younger person. The dining room was very large and doubled as the bar. Plenty of parking at the front including some disabled bays. It stands adjacent to a main road and a little distance to nearby shops but buses run passed it so , if you haven't got a car it's take a bus or a taxi. We stayed for a couple of nights and had no problems at all.

The room was very basic with no frills. It was clean and functional but lacked any shelves, place to put suitcases, and no air conditioning. There was so little space to walk around the beds as our suitcases were on the floor. Our family of three felt like we were always on top of each other.

Village hotel prioritises the gym and Bar over the hotel. The room clearly had been newly decorated/furnished, but looked cheap and terrible. The room was unbearably hot, fortunately fans had been provided to make it a little bit more manageable. There is no fridge in the room, no hairdryer, things you expect in a middle of the road hotel. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was ok. You have to pay for parking as a guest at the hotel (not visiting the gym) which considering the price you are paying for a room is a joke. We have stayed at the hotel before a few years ago and it has downhill, we will not be staying again. You will have a better experience staying at a travelodge or premier inn and will save some money.

The staff were very helpful from start to finish and this helped to mitigate the minor inconvenience caused by the renovation work in the hotel. The meals were quite good, with a decent choice at reasonable prices. The main features, which I was able to make use of, were the in-house gym and pool. Both were large enough to cater for the local demand.

Great location for Headingley cricket- pool nice, parking safe but £££ Did not like electronic check in, especially especially when staff are there anyway ! Comfortable room- nice and quiet Didn't eat pub - very little veggie protein without the junk Breakfast average.

The room was very comfortable, the staff friendly and the swimming pool was the perfect temperature. We didn't use the gym. The hotel is within walking distance (or a short bus ride) from Headingly Cricket Ground (which is why we were in Leeds). We were in the bar watching the football for England v Croatia in the World Cup, but the service was still fast and there was a great atmosphere too.

Great hotel staff helpful and friendly will definitely stay there again, only one slight complaint the bar wasn't open late at night for world cup games, but this is no reflection on hotel or staff highly recommend

We had a lovely evening meal in the hotel bar. The breakfast was just OK. Parking was fine and the hotel was close to the wedding venue we were attending. The biggest draw back was the diverted root to our room, caused by on going refurbishment of hotel rooms. We had to carry our cases up and down 4 flights of stairs.

Plenty of parking available at this hotel, which had good facilities including a large gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, restuarant and Starbucks all on site. Staff were friendly. Food was good.
