There was an awful smell in the lobby area which was a put off. The free breakfast was good.

Clean lobby and rooms. Great selection for the continental breakfast. Around great restaurants and walkable to downtown.

Our stay was very good. Its central location was perfect for walking to where we needed to go. The room was very clean and well set up for comfort & convenience. All the staff we encountered were very helpful & friendly. The breakfast was fabulous with many options. The young woman in charge of breakfast is excellent at her job,friendly and very organized to keep items full & tasty . The only negative thing we found was an unpleasant odor noticeable when first entering the lobby. We appreciate this hotel and the many great employees working there !

The king bed was excellent. The breakfast was low quality. The room was very pricey and we were charged an additional $21 for parking. The room rates were much lower before and after our stay on June 9.

Helpful staff and a central location.

Hotel was well located to walk down 17 th and attend the Lilac festival. Gonzalo and Naufil were fantastic to deal with at the front desk. I apologize that I did get the names of the breakfast staff but both days were great and the room was well kept. Thanks to the cleaning staff for making our room comfortable and clean. Only issue was the king bed was extremely firm.

We really liked the breakfast buffet. Lots of nourishing and tasty choices. We stayed two nights and noticed that the menu was rotated. That room was clean! Shout out to the staff there. Also a shout out to Nautili & Gonzalo at the front desk staff for their friendly greeting, dinner suggestions and for stowing our bags. No surprises are appreciated.

No maid service the entire week. Breakfast was unsanitary and inedible.

Basic but comfortable

The kitchen needed some additional cleaning (fridge and utensils drawer) and the maintenance team needed to remove a carpet staple where new carpet had been installed outside of the bathroom. The property has been upgrading the rooms and amenities which is a nice improvement from years past. Our check in experience was exceptional.

I had a very unpleasant experience during check-in at Best Western Plus Suites Downtown. When I arrived, there were other guests checking in ahead of me. I noticed the front desk staff speaking with them normally, and after their check-in was completed, each of them was given a bottle of water. I do not know whether the water was complimentary or not, but it was clearly being offered to guests during check-in. However, when it was my turn, the only thing I was asked for was my ID. There was no greeting, no explanation, and no communication beyond handing me the room key. I then had to ask why I was not given water like the other guests. Without saying anything, the staff member went to the back, brought out one bottle of water, and simply placed it on the counter without any explanation or apology. This made me feel very uncomfortable and offended. I could not help but wonder whether they assumed I could not speak English, whether they were treating guests differently depending on who they were, or whether this was some form of discrimination. It left me with a very unpleasant impression. I have used Best Western quite often in the past, but this was the first time I felt this bad after checking into one of their hotels. Unless there are no other hotel options available, I do not think I would choose this property again.

This is a beautiful property close to the action. My granddaughter loved the pool, and my daughter loved the shopping.

Great value for a large room.

Would have liked to have a pool available. Hotel was good, could have been spruced up a bit but the employees were excellent!

Clean Room, helpful staff good breakfast

The room is not clean, especially the beds are dirty.

Room is nice with city view. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is $21 a night. Hotel is showing its age. Faucet in the kitchen moves every time you turn it on. Bathroom sink has small leak under it. Tray in microwave did not turn well, it was mismatched. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, 17th Ave.
