My husband and I stayed at Portobello Hotel in August 2025. We had an amazing time. All of the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The room itself was gorgeous - I wish I had photos to show everyone. Beautiful, spacious, and overlooked a lovely garden (note: private to next-door residents; not available for hotel guests). The entire hotel is classically elegant with a little eclectic twist. Food and amenities were also great. It's located in Notting Hill, which is very walkable. It's about 10-15 minutes to the nearest tube station as well. We had an amazing time here!

Beautiful room. Very quirky and good bath. No tv that I could find. - but actually I rather liked that. Comfortable bed and slept well. Hope the lift is now working as it was a bit of a trek up the stairs but staff were very kind and took the bags up.

We stayed at the Portobello Hotel for our honeymoon, and Naim made it outstanding. From the start, Naim kindly assisted with our luggage, offered a complimentary room upgrade, and even provided a bottle of Prosecco to start our celebrations. His thoughtful service made our stay truly special. Highly recommend both the hotel and Naim!

I absolutely loved the style, décor, and facilities of the room — the hotel has real personality and quirky charm throughout. The location is perfect for exploring the Notting Hill neighbourhood, with so much right on your doorstep. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the toiletries were beautiful, and both the shower and bath were excellent — everything felt thoughtful and luxuriously high quality.

I’m not sure what some of the guests below are smoking. Or just plainly, how miserable they are. Wonderful hotel. If you want a taste and/or the feel of Notting Hill - and can’t quite afford to live there - This is for you. Brilliant, smart hosts. Great service. Have been coming here sporadically for 20 years. It ain’t Disneyland. It’s an amazing opportunity to taste life in a lovely part of London. 5 out of 5 isn’t enough.
