Excellent hotel slight issue with the plumbing in the room but staff moved us without an issue

Fabulous stay from beginning to end, room spotless, facilities great, breakfast was gorgeous and all the staff were so lovely and helpful!

Nice and clean room and friendly staff at reception. Great location just across the river from all of the cities main attractions, but quiet in the evening to get a good night's sleep.

Staff left the latch on the front of one of the beds that holds the twin beds together and my friend hurt her foot on it quite hard as it was sticking out. I had to remove it so it didnt happen again. No sanitary bags provided, housekeeping came while we were still in and checked every room to see if people were still in there. We also ran out of toilet roll really fast and there was no plug for bathroom shaver/toothbrush. I expected a lot more for a hotel of this price

Room unlike any displayed on hotel website. Generally run down and dirty room, needed a good clean and some maintenance

I’ve stayed here a number of times on business and it is great. It has a nice vibe, rooms are lovely and it is well located for the attractions. Highly recommended

Warm welcome by all staff, clean room, parking, 5 mins walk to York centre.

What a superb getaway i had in york which included a lovely stay at the well presented The Middletons hotel such a great stay and very friendly staff including the gorgeous receptionist

Lovely looking hotel, nice staff on reception always helpful. Lounge and bar area really lovely and cosy at anytime of day to relax,drink or play a game. Our room was nice ,just a couple of essentials missing for me. Toilet brush, shower cap and hand towels.

Lovely hotel especially at Christmas!

Hotel was in a good spot near to town.Staff were friendly and accommodating.Hotels bar area was a perfect size.Breafast was lovely but service too slow due to a new system being tried ! We had a large accessible room with a very big wet room ,the only down side being the Floor was very wet when trying to get ready to go out . Hotel was shabby chic in places and the atmosphere was cosy.We had a good stay

I everything was lovely

Nice mid range hotel, but bathroom in need of an upgrade. Also beware if you are put in rooms in the listed building section, then the floors are not level and this can be quite disorienting. This should be made clear when booking. Also heating was on full blast. Had to turn the radiators down. No air conditioning either.

Very nice hotel, great location. Bed is a bit on the older side. Fan in the room was very dirty and noisy, it was a stand alone tower fan placed in the room. Overall a good stay.

Better communication on checkin around requesting room to be cleaned, came back after a long day to no water, no milk and room not refreshed. No lift so had to climb two flights of stairs (elderly mum and i'm pregnant!) then checkout they didnt mention you needed to put code in to release barrier. Very frustrating. the room had really bad condensation which means a lot of mould developing in wondows which we're breathing in. not great.

This place is a hidden gem! Short walk to the city centre that took less than 10 mins. Parking onsite and the most welcoming of rooms with lovely decor and helpful staff. Would highly recommend and will most definitely visit again.
