The room was clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked very well, which made the stay enjoyable. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Breakfast offered a good variety of options and was a great way to start the day. What I liked most was the overall cleanliness and the helpful service. The property was quiet and conveniently located. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this property to other travellers.

Ok - I am usually the person that keeps her opinions to herself - BUT!!!! Im a single mom of 3 and spent our whole summer budget to take the kids on this vacation (before I had surgery this Monday on my shoulder and am now pretty much bed bound). This was the worst experience we have ever had at a resort. It started day 1 - I booked a partial ocean view room - for which I begged - and was given 3801 - after they “tried” and was supposed to be a great room. NO!!!!! It has no AC!!! After many phone calls to service desk and two trips from their “maintenance worker” - she and front desk tried to convince me that this is just the way the whole resort is and our room was just fine. Let me also say they literally locked our ac controls - so I couldn’t DO ANYTHING!! We ventured outside and spoke with other residents from hotel who said their rooms were icy cold. Soo at 10 pm with 3 kids after traveling all day I demanded to switch rooms - which we did …. The ac was finally working and I thought things would turn around - but wait - when we flushed our toilet - literal poop came out of our shower bottom - no joke!!!!! So there as pipe problems - which they eventually fixed - and then the power went out …. That’s just the room problems- Food - wasn’t good - not much variety - could barely get into a restaurant (they said 5? Only 1-2 were open each night) no room service - the fridge in room was not cold - and I had to call and ask any time we needed room cleaned)

This is our second time staying here and we LOVE IT. The staff is amazing and the customer service is top notch. They make sure you always have a drink in your hand, even in the pool! We absolutely love staying here.

Clean and maintained. Staff could definitely be friendlier. Food was not the greatest, compared to other resorts, not many options. Entertainment could use a boost .

On the first day we had an issue with our rooms air conditioning and only luke warm water for the shower. It took a little bit to convince them to change our room. But once we got into our new room which was even better cause of the location it was in we were fine. The food was good. One main restaurant with a buffet had a different theme every night. For me i prefer at least one restaurant have a variety of food every night. I would go there again.

Clean rooms/ good food/ great beach space! The only challenges I had involved a very uncomfortable bed- the bed was so hard, I actually had sore hips from sleeping on my sides. The other challenge was that drinks weren't served until 11am. Sure, you can get a mimosa at breakfast, but when on vacation in Mexico. I start my day with an Ojo Rojo 😂 But seriously, the buffet was AMAZING - we didn't even need to visit the themed restaurants - lots of options for all meals and it was all good quality. The rooms were clean. The cleaning staff provided extras when needed. Overall, a good vacation spot- would definitely go back!

If you want to forgot about the reality and have a wonderful vacation, Allegro is for you! We had our vacation on April 2026. Everything was excellent! Services, food, staff, territory, rooms, beach, animation!!! They deserve 10 stars! The most impressive: very friendly personal, very tasty food, kayaking and sailboat for free!!!! The waitresses serve you even on a beach with sneaks and cocktails. 20 min walk to the center of the city. The beach is big and clean in 1 min walk. Very green territory! I can talk unlimited how good Allegro is! In one word - I felt like I was in paradise!

Atmosphere is quaint, clean and good value

The food was somewhat repetitive on the buffet. The meals were not always as warm as it should be, but the food did taste good. The soups are a hidden gem. The rooms were very clean and the maid did a great job. The staff overall was good, but it did seem as though they may have needed more to keep up. I would go back.

Nos encanto la experiencia. El servicio es muy bueno. El staff super atento a todas las necesidades que puedas tener. Las actividades muy amenas. Tienen actividades tambien para los niños. Un hotel super familiar.

The food was great, the property and beach were beautiful. Close to alot of amenities and to downtown Playa Del Carmen. We had a great vacation and would return again!

It was my boyfriend’s first time on vacation and for two people who don’t have kids, we had a great time at a family resort. There was so much to do and the food was amazing. The buffet was perfect every time we went. So many options and the drinks are endless. The AC could have been a bit better. But overall amazing time and would come back again. The staff were amazing with remembering names which was incredible and felt very welcoming.

Very limited food choices and not very good what was there. Liked the drinks. You have to wait in line the mornings that the Italian/mexican/oriental restaurants were open. None of the three were any good. There’s no app to make reservations. No room service. Food was not good. I wouldn’t go so far as to say bad but even compared to the other resorts I’ve stayed in (3 others in the Cancun area) it just wasn’t good

Very nice for lower budget resort. i love having our own deck with a hammock outside out room when just want some quiet time

Resort was great few things to do. Missed some entertainment/shows as it was in spanish. Food was good. Close to town so lots of shopping and gift shops. Not much on the resort for shops.

Had a nice week. Enjoyed pool areas. Food was good. Wish we had more information about restaurant reservations. Rooms were clean, had to ask for a wash cloth, they weren’t there when we arrived and not replaced when room was cleaned.
