A charming older property located steps from the Rhine, this hotel was a grandson’s favorite. Within walking distance of the cathedral, the hotel offered the most comfortable beds of our trip. Parking is limited, but free on the street overnight. Breakfast was standard European fare served in a large, well light room. The only negative was accessibility. There is an elevator, but it does not reach the lobby nor breakfast areas.

The hotel is located in a quiet side-street in Cologne, seemingly well away from any shops, bars, restaurants. The largest drawback however was that the hotel only served breakfast, had no lounge or bar area to chill & relax, & so could really only be used for sleeping & breakfast. However, we soon located a very good - reasonably expensive - steakhouse near bye, & a collection of resturarnts about 15 minutes easy stroll away. I was attending a trade fair at the Cologne Messe, which was around 10mins away by cab, circa £16 each way. My wife used the time I was away at the show to walk along the Rhine, into Cologne centre, easy 25mins walk to the Cathedral. Nice hotel, but would not use again because of the dining/bar situation.

Wonderful place with a good breakfast. I bit outside central Cologne but within walking distance and close to Zoo and Botanical Garden. Parking usually available on the street for 5 Euro for 24 hours.

Appreciated healthy options at breakfast buffet, cleanliness, quiet, good shower pressure, kettle & mini-frig. They advertise that they have air conditioning which was a reason I booked it. It's actually only in 3 rooms. My 1st room was extremely hot & the staff person told me it didn't have AC. So I was moved to a lower floor which he said would be cooler. It didn't have AC so I got very little sleep. The next morning they told me the 1st room actually had AC. So I packed up everything & moved back up there after I made sure the AC was working. The manager took no responsibility nor offered an apology for false advertising, the lost nite's sleep or having to change rooms again. The mattresses were beyond firm so very uncomfortable. The pillows were way too soft, like sleeping on a jacket. It's located well away from the historic center so not convenient. Only 1 out of 3 windows had a screen. One window was hanging off its hinge. They load the mini frig with products to sell which is a nuisance to have to move them to use the frig. You have to climb stairs & carry your own bags to the 2nd floor to get the lift. Their biggest issue is safety in the event of a fire because the keys & door locks are historic so do not work quickly or easily.

Excellent. Located in a quiet side street near the Rhine. Comfortable room, very quiet hotel, friendly staff & breakfast. 5 minutes walk from Reichensperger Platz U Bahn metro station a couple of stops from Köln Hbf & the Dom. Reception manned 24/7. A safe quiet area.I would definitely stay again.

Location was great, room was very comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. The only 2 things which could be better are the pillows and towels.

Nice old heritage building. Close to the river and a few minutes from the zoo and botanical garden. Just 20 minute walk to the city centre and cathedral. No bath tub in my room, room quite small but comfortable.

The room was below street level. The window overlooks the parking lot, you could hear the cars coming and going. Very small room.Vicino ai bagni comuni. Per andare in camera bisogna attraversare il ristorante

A total gem in historic old building in Cologne. Spotlessly clean, charming and helpful staff, fabulous breakfast buffet. Twenty-minute walk along the Rhine to the Cathedral. And we got lucky to have one of the limited parking spots! Highly recommended.

Great hotel!! The location is walkable to downtown and the train station and easy to find, just follow the river and it is off to your left. The breakfast is great as well and the staff are very friendly!!! The room is very comfortable as well!!!

Beautiful lobby and lounge areas and our wonderful room overlooked the river. Hotel was in a quiet residential area and we appreciated their recommendations of local restaurants! Fabulous breakfast and very helpful staff.

Good location and room was very comfortable

I had a great stay! The staff was friendly and helpful in calling me a taxi. The booking went smoothly and my single room was the perfect size! On a quiet street so you can actually get some sleep in bustling Cologne!

Lovely hotel, close to old town. However we needed to upgrade as our allocated room was too small to spend more that 1 night in.

Hotel Victoria is a wonderful "music history" place to stay. Just 15 minutes walk from the Railwaystation and along the river Rhein it is easy to find by foot.

It's a nove place and a good location along the river promenade. It's only one mile to the central station, cathedral, etc. The room was clean, the breakfast was giod, and the staff were overall friendly (especially the ones who worked during breakfast). I would drfinitely recommend this place for families or solo travelers.
