I've stayed here twice because it is reasonably close to the Vatican and so in a ten minute walk you're already experiencing stunning buildings and sites. The local area also feels less touristy and more authentic. The rooms are fine, everything is as you'd expect. There is a nearby train station that gets you into the main Rome stations.

I’ve stayed at this property for years, every time I’m in Rome. Initially I chose the hotel because of its location, off the beaten path, but close to everything. If that was the only thing though I might not keep returning. It’s the staff that makes the stay here worthwhile. The staff is the best!

Clean room, secure location

The room was clean but small and in need of repairs. The shower was super small and leaking, with black mold on the bathroom walls.

Staff always polite and courteous. Rooms immaculate every day with provisions catered for each day.

Hotel close to The Vatican within 15 mins walk and the San Paulo train station within 5 mins walk. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Safe and quiet location away from the hustle and bustle.

I like the clossenes to San Pietro train station and to Vatican.

Overall, it was excellent for the price. The air conditioning didn't work as well. So it was a little hot in the room. It was still good value.

Very bad toilet was not working

We loved the property and our room. The room had a heating system but no AC, but given the time of the year it was perfect. We had the windows open most of the night to let the room cool down. The hotel had an easy walk to the bus stop and train. The staff was nice and friendly. Would def stay there again.

Excellent place to stay. The neighborhood was quiet. Very close to the Vatican and public transportation. Would highly recommend Hotel Alesandrino. Thank you!

Zero customer care or service Very outdated hotel Shower was horrendous, small, broken, too low wouldn't stay in a position to actually shower, a random switch above the shower which apparently was an alarm? Maids didn't actually clean the room other than replace the towels and make the bed No info about any breakfast or drinks Bed was comfy which was the best thing Nice terrace but run by mosquitos Randomly have to key your key in every time you leave the hotel

Doors problem

We have had a pleasant stay at hotel Alessandrino. It was nicely priced for a hotel in Rome. The room was clean, which is for us one of the most important things. The hotel staff was nice, relaxted and helpfull. Our room was small but it was ok for city trip. Bathroom could use a upgrade, rainshower was not ok anymore, but normal showerhead worked fine. Downside of our room was mainly the noice from washing machines, cleaning and reception at all possible hours. The wall do not isolate any sound. Location wise it is not typically in the most exiting area. It is great for going to the vatican, but little bit more far to other large attractions. It is walkable to center but expect times of 45minutes. Otherwise take a bus (8min walk) or other means of transport. I think for what you pay you get a fair room.

Not happy with the staying. Poor network and facilities. No AC. What's worse, there's no quilt in the room. Opening the closet, it is smelly.
