This hotel was a gem!!! The property is stunning. The pool is a monument of art (I wish they were extended hours however). The rooms are unique and beautifully decorated. The staff was courteous, genuinely looking to assist you and seem to care about answering your every needs. They assisted with our transit from the airport with great communication and also assisted to our next transfer from a different company. Made the transitions so much easier. The staircase right across the street leads to shops, restaurants etc.. Already thinking of coming back to Naples and can't think of staying anywhere else. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Tuve una experiencia muy linda este fin de semana en el Hotel San Francesco al Monte en Nápoles. Las vistas desde la habitación son simplemente espectaculares, realmente hacen que la estancia sea especial. Quiero destacar la amabilidad y el excelente servicio del personal, especialmente en el restaurante y el pool bar, donde nos hicieron sentir muy bien atendidos en todo momento. La habitación también era muy bonita, acogedora y perfecta para descansar. Como punto a mejorar, tuvimos un inconveniente con el aire acondicionado, ya que al encenderse botaba bastante agua y en un par de ocasiones casi nos caemos por eso. Sin embargo, más allá de ese detalle, todo lo demás fue excelente. Sin duda es un lugar al que volvería por su encanto, vistas y atención.

This is truly a hidden gem, offering one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in all of Naples. The setting is peaceful, the scenery is unforgettable, and it’s the perfect place to take in the beauty of the city. I highly recommend staying here!

Stunning views and great location

A lovely property with fantastic views over Naples. Clean rooms, great WiFi, helpful staff. Unfortunately the swimming pool hours are very restrictive which limits time for use. The breakfast is limited but the views over Naples are lovely. Not close to public transport so either taxis or walking a while for funicular or metro.

Lovely breakfast, amazing view, great pool.

Historic and unique. Room had a strange smell. Very loud overnight…fireworks, clanging bottles in hallway. One concierge wasn’t very welcoming. Seemed to need more wait staff in restaurant. Maitre d’ at restaurant was very nice. Closed lunch service early at bar/restaurant near pool because of a wedding.

The hotel has great views over old town and port, and dinner in the restaurant was excellent, as good as any we’d had after ten days travelling around Italy. However, the noise from the staff, the kitchen area and general foot fall outside our room (41) was horrendous. We could hear every word of the staff clearing down after dinner and getting ready for breakfast, which went on until 1am. This included trolleys of crockery being moved around the hallways, shouting and the world’s creakiest door. If you do stay here make sure you’re not on the fourth floor, as you’ll get virtually no sleep.

The pool could be open at night, it would be enjoyable after a day of walking.

The room was very hot, and the air conditioning was weak. Even running all night, it did not cool the room down by morning. Very disappointing for an expensive, highly rated hotel.

Unbeatable views from the terrace overlooking Vesuvius and surroundings, very cool old Monastery hotel with historic rooms and religious spaces that had been restored and beautified, large and interesting areas to explore within the hotel. Sophisticated upgrades, helpful professional staff. Perfect location to visit the Spanish quarter. Would love to stay there atain.

Our stay at San Francesco al Monte in Naples was truly unforgettable. The hotel is full of charm, history, and breathtaking views. Our room on the 5th floor was beautiful and offered spectacular views of Mount Vesuvius, the Bay of Naples, and even Sorrento in the distance. Waking up to that scenery each morning was a highlight of our trip. The restaurant on the 4th floor provides stunning panoramic views while you dine. Breakfast was included and offered a great start to the day, and dinner service in the evening was excellent. One of the most impressive features of the hotel is the amazing pool located on the 7th floor. Built into the natural stone of the hillside, it offers incredible panoramic views of Naples. The pool bar serves excellent food for lunch, and with music playing throughout the day, it creates the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. Be sure to take time to explore the hotel itself. Around every corner you will discover beautiful artwork, impressive statues, and even a historic church attached to the property. The building feels like a museum, monastery, and luxury hotel all in one. San Francesco al Monte is a unique and memorable place to stay, combining history, culture, comfort, and some of the best views in Naples. We highly recommend it and would gladly return.

This hotel is the diamond in the city of Naples. First class in every way from check-in to unique historic rooms. There is a gorgeous veranda, along with a magnificent small pool on the rooftop. you will not be disappointed in this fabulous property, I promise you!

Beautiful location and view

A lovely stay but perhaps the rooms are a little past their glory days and feel a little tired. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was not good and could use some improvement!

This is a beautiful hotel. We stayed here for our last night of a week of travelling. Absolutely stunning and only 25-30 minutes to Naples airport. Lots of delightful surprises! Thoroughly enjoy it
