The hotel is in a great location. We had a garden room and it was lovely being able to sit outside in the evening. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. The room was big with a lively separate sitting area. The only negative is that some bits of the hotel seem a little tired but that was a minor point.

Excellent location near central train station. Rooms are a bit old and tired, but very spacious. Didn’t have any issues with train noise at all.

Avignon Grand Hotel is welcoming with hospitable staff. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel itself is nicely situated in proximity to the attractions and train stations. We had a very pleasant stay.

You cannot adjust the temperature in the room. The A/C only allows you to adjust the fan, which is very noisy when turning it up. The breakfast is poor and options are very limited. You can see fruit flies around at the food area.

The beds in the room were clean. The carpet was not--stained with black gunk all over. The bathroom smelled so heavily of mildew/mold--and the entire room did as well. We had to buy room deodorizers our first day there but they only partially masked the odor. The bathroom was not 100% clean (odd dark splashes of drips around) and there was mildew/mold rotting one corner of the shower. This is no more than a 2 star hotel and is in desperate need of renovation. The room was on the front side of the hotel, so you could also hear all the traffic. I would not stay here again.

Old building with actual entrance moved farther down the street - a little confusing. Otherwise great place

Wonderful stay. I had a late check in after a wine tour. The friendly staff offered me a wine glass at check in. Room was nice and clean, with a wonderful outdoor table beside the courtyard.

Rooms are worn, carpets are faded. We moved rooms once because of a rattling air conditioning fan. We moved again when we came back and the second room smelt of sewage. That was a downgrade with a portable air conditioning unit in the room with a hose sticking out of the window. Hard to recommend.
