We loved it

We stayed at Rival 3 nights. We traveled for 2 weeks throughout Europe in May June 2026 and this as the best hotel. A great experience. The staff was so helpful and spent time with us to help us have a great Stockholm experience. The room was spacious and well designed. Everything was new. They had different types of pillows to make sure you had a great sleep. Very quiet hotel. Breakfast was perfect. Order what you want or the buffet. Baked fresh. On the last night we had to leave at 4am and we would miss breakfast, BUT they created a special take away bag of breakfast items just for us. Perfect stay. Easy access to walks and the city.

Good location, amazing breakfast, staff was great.

Our second stay at Hotel Rival and, just like the first time (more than 10 years ago), it was excellent. The hotel is doing something right to be able to maintain such high standards over many years. The breakfast buffet is still one of the best we ever had; the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Lovely square in front of the hotel. On our first stay, in December, they sold Christmas trees, and this time, in May, there was a second hand market. Rooms have high quality beds with pillow menus. We missed the teddy bear this time around, but perhaps it is only in rooms when young children stay? (my child not so young anymore now). We hope to be back a bit sooner this time!

This was a fabulous hotel with an excellent location. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was excellent. We left at 5:30am on our last sadly and they offered and prepared a to go breakfast for us to take with us to the airport. If you stay on the 4th floor there is an excellent coffee machine with free coffee 24/7. We loved our stay here

Everything about this hotel is top notch. The rooms, staff, the amenities, breakfast included and high quality, Great bar and restaurant, I would absolutely stay here every time I'm in Stockholm.

Great hotel with amazing staff (especially the concierge). Rooms and decor were great. The breakfast was to die for. Will definitely come back.

the Room was spacious and clean with a great view of the park across the street. There is 24 hour tea and coffee, good coffee on the 4th floor. The breakfast is excellent, the croissants are like paris. the staff very helpful and friendly. The Concierge Michele knows all about Stockholm, she is amazing. It is business and couple friendly, less for family.

A sixth floor room with balcony overlooking the square was perfect. Spacious, clean and well appointed. The staff were extremely helpful, nothing too much trouble. It’s well positioned too which means it’s easy to get to/from the airport and to the different islands in Stockholm itself.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! Boutique hotels are 100% worth the extra cost. They make you feel at home with all the thoughtful ways the room is laid out. The most amazing breakfast and service and lovely bars and restaurants attached. My advice, stay here!!
