This hotel is HUGE! Due to its location, it is a perfect choice for a stay in Folkestone. It's very family friendly and the entertainment available gives it a happy holiday camp vibe. We had a room for 3 adults on the 3rd floor, part sea view, which was nice, the room was big so had plenty of room for the 3 of us and each had our own bed. The room was a little tired but was clean. Didn't use the facilities ie; gym, pool, restaurant etc so can't comment on those. Both bars were extremely spacious and comfy but could do with a nice big sliding door and air con. Had to queue to check in which was a bit long winded, the poor staff at reception were run off their feet! They could do with a bigger reception area and more staff to check people in, plus more housekeepers, our room was supposed to be ready at 4 and wasn't. This didn't create a problem for us though as we just dumped our stuff and went out. It was all done by the time we got back. I would definitely stay here again 😃

Another great stay at this hotel. We were a group of 27 people. Rooms a bit dated and could do with an upgrade but the staff more than make up for this. Restaurant staff very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make sure our group had everything we needed. Nice choice of food options. Reception staff especially Levi and Emma were very accommodating for our large group booking. Got a slot in Spindles pool and spa. Nothing not to like. Is in a fantastic position opposite the Harbour Arm. We hope to be back again next year

Room looked nice but very old styled furnitures. In the morning time, no hot water so you can expect same. Body wash dispenser was not working and the toilet flush was terrible, had to flush 8-10 times, still would not be clean.

The location of this hotel is everything. It is fantastic. The corridors and lifts leave a lot to be desired. In fact one lift had all the wires hanging out of the control box. We upgraded to a balcony room which had an amazing view of the harbour. The beds were uncomfortable. The decor very dated but it was clean. The bathroom was ok. The balcony is scruffy but still worth having. I think for the price you pay it was ok. I would stay again if just for the location. Lots of entertainment throughout the day and evening which we didn't go to. Reception gets very busy and has limited staff. There is a room to leave your luggage. We had the buffet breakfast on the last day which was ok.

Not everything is as bad as it may seem. We had a great experience. Our room was absolutely clean and had everything we needed — a kettle, iron, towels and extra pillows. Yes, the windows were a little dirty on the outside, but that wasn’t a problem. What matters most is the comfort inside. Overall, the price matched the quality and the location. We paid £50 per night.
