Firstly I must say the staff were always helpful and Oliver who worked at The Prickly Pear, lovely, always a smile on his face and made amazing mojitos!
The communal areas are very clean and modern, however my room was not exactly up to the same standard. Maybe I’ve just been lucky in other 4 star hotels I’ve stayed in, but normally I would expect shampoo at the very least, but that’s not so bad.
However being placed next to the games room, was awful, when people were in there at night it sounded like they were in the room with me, so loud! And the machines don’t get turned off until 11pm. The elevators are extremely near to this room as well and despite it being a fire door to my room and the games room, this was propped open majority of the time. This also meant I could hear guests coming and going at all hours of the morning from the elevators.
The air con would sometimes make quite loud noises for no apparent reason during the night, which was difficult to sleep through.
It’s a shame because the staff were nice enough and the area is lovely (minus all the road works currently)
