This is my third time in this hotel, nice resort, Wonderful staff, good food and drinks, beautiful beach, the entertainment team needs to improve and vary activities. The only thing I don’t like about this hotel is the way the bathroom and shower were designed they lack privacy. I would definitely come back again.

Love this Hotel!! This is my second time here with my family. Food is delicious, show and amenities are incredible. The service and the staff spectacular. The hotel is very clean. I recommend it 200%.

The property is very nice and well kept. The restaurant signs need to be updated to show the actual times they are open. The buffet was really pretty good. Wasn't impressed by the specialty restaurants food selection. The beach was nice except for the seagrass and the water was a little murky. The pool area was very nice and they had activities to make it more fun. Pool water was a little warmer than I prefer. We had a great vacation all in all.

Excellent stay. Everything was wonderful. Would 100% stay again.

There are better Riu's, this one needs updated towels and the smell of them were musty. The place is beautiful from the outside. Also the Taxi service they keep on the grounds are expensive and if you use other service like IDrive app which is so much cheaper, you have to wait for a QR code the IDriver cancels. Entertainment people was excellent!

I recently returned from a 10‑night stay at the Riu Yucatán, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and the entire property was beautifully maintained/managed throughout our stay. The food exceeded expectations every single day — fresh, flavorful, and with so much variety. A special mention goes to the RiuLand team, especially Meryal, whose warmth and kindness made our children feel so comfortable and excited to participate. One thing that really stood out was the management presence. The manager was visible daily, actively overseeing the restaurants and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Their leadership and attention to detail were noticeable and appreciated. Overall, we left extremely happy and satisfied. We will definitely be returning to the Riu Yucatán.

Staff was kind

Yucatán was a nice place to go and relax - it’s close to the beach so you can enjoy both the pools and gulf waters - plenty of places to take pictures in - if you want a more party scene I recommend Cancun

We stay very frequently in Playa Car , and have stayed at almost every resort there. This, by far, has been the best experience, even out of other RIU hotels. Staff was great, very friendly. Food was great, PLENTY to choose from. Great pools. Comfortable rooms . Will definitely be staying here again

The staff was amazing very nice and accommodating. Housekeeping made sure our room was clean and restocked with linen, and kept refrigerator stocked. They called the room to make sure everything was going well. Food was good and the cooks were happy to make food to your liking. The resort itself was BEAUTIFUL. The beach and pool area was very clean and had different activities that was fun. My stay was overall amazing and we will be back to stay 🌴 ☀️ ⛱️ 🌊

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Everything was clean and well-maintained, which made us feel comfortable right away. The staff did a great job keeping the spaces tidy and welcoming. One of the highlights was the bar—it offered a great variety of drinks, so there was something for everyone to enjoy. The restaurants were also impressive, with plenty of options and a good selection of food. It made dining convenient and enjoyable without needing to leave the property. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we would definitely consider staying here again.

Rooms and amenities are looking very worn out and showing their age, but everything was working and staff / food / entertainment were all excellent

The employees were so pleasant, and helpful. It looked like the property just had a fresh coat of paint, inside and out. Property, and grounds vert well kept. Beach was very nice. The beach was shallow and only went to about 6ft at the deepest part. Nice sandy beach. I thought the Buffet was really good large selection. The Mexican restaurant was very good. The steak house, Asian restaurant. Could use improvement as well as the Italian. It said in their brochure that there were venders/shops that set up every other night. There were non and no one knew it was on their brochure. That was a disappointment for me, i enjoy buying gifts for friends and family. I travel alone, so i don't leave the resorts. They had a tiny gift shop that was limited and very expensive. With all that said I had a really nice time. Thank you.
