Great breakfast and a good pool and waterside. Hot tub was under repair but all in all Very good value and location !

Amazing staff and amenities! The breakfast was incredible every morning for our 9 day stay, definitely with better options weekdays when not as busy though. The pool was a BLAST - hot tub was closed for the entire 9 day stay with us though and no seen work on it or planned opening date. Our only complaint is the ventilation within the rooms. Might not be noticeable if only 1-2 night stays but we stayed for an extended time and became quite a concern by day 3. There's no (at least not in our room) ventilation system for the washroom. After showering the entire room was damp with moisture with the window barely opening so no way to air out the room. With 2 adults and 2 kids needing to shower it was quite an issue. At night the kids couldn't sleep and was uncomfortable for adults too due to the sheets continuing to feel damp from the built up moisture in the room. The mildew smell from this was also a concern.

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was very spacious and had plenty of storage. The cozy kitchen area was great for prepping snacks for our daily outings. The staff was absolutely friendly and very welcoming. We found them to be very helpful if we had any questions or concerns. The breakfasts were very nice and had a good variety. Turkey bacon, sausages, hard boiled eggs, omelets, pastries, fresh fruit, brown and white bread for toasting, English muffins, juice, fresh coffee. And it was always topped up and fresh right until the service was finished. The waterslide was very fast, the pool was warm and always stocked with lots of towels and seating for parents to watch the kids. Parking was good, ample plug in stalls were available. Beds were comfortable, had nice pillows and cozy comforters. Over-all the stay was great for the whole family, and kept our budget low for accommodations. A few places it could be improved. More areas to hang wat bathing suits and towels would be a plus. The fridge in our room did not cool very effectively unfortunately and I did note another guest was mentioning the same to the staff. It seams they may need to invest in new ones. The BBQ was out of propane when we went to utilize it, and no back-up bottle was available. So that was a bit disappointing. Some areas in the hotel needed to be refreshed, a coat of paint or new fixtures in the bathrooms. But in all honestly for the rate, I was quite pleased, as it suited our needs well.

Staff were kind and understanding but unable to get maintenance in to fix some issues. The hotel needs to be updated. Upon entering room carpet was lifted, due to being ripped, so it’s a tripping hazard. Bathtub was clean but had a large permanent stain from wear and tear. Blow dryer became too hot and started to smoke, so had to turn off. Toilet was not flushing properly had to wait 5 minutes for it to slowly refill before able to flush again.

Other than the hot tub being down.. awesome stay!

Staff were friendly. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was disappointing , no pancake machine for the kids and I know they had them on our last stay. Not a great selection of hot or cold drinks. Hot chocolate and some fruit juice would have been nice . Eggs and breakfast items tasted stale and over cooked . Room was clean, the bathroom really needs some renovations . Pool was great, but hot tub was out of use .

Given the number of messages I received from the hotel informing me of my upcoming stay, I was surprised that there was no mention of the hot tub closed for repairs. I was most looking forward to using the hot tub and was disappointed it was not available for use.

The bed and pillows were great. Lots of towels and bathroom supplies. Breakfast was good, the disappointing part was the hot food supply was not kept up with both mornings we were there.

Experienced staff from front desk, housekeeping and maintening the building very well Great place to stay!

Room was awesome, the staff were very helpful, disappointing breakfast. Ran out of many hot items, eggs, bacon … not a great way to convince us to stay longer. If they breakfast is updated, then the stay would be perfect!

Clean room nice staff

The bathtub wouldn't drain. The shampoo containers in the shower were empty and they ran out of breakfast food an hour before breakfast time ended leaving all of us stranded with no food and they had no intention of cooking more food.

Greater breakfast, Hot Pool was not working, staff was great 👍

A good, affordable place to stay on our trip through Red Deer. Nothing fancy, but had everything we needed. Cleanliness is my main concern, and it was clean. We didn't have time for the pool, but it looked nice. Dog-friendly (with reasonable pet fee of $25), lit parking lot with security, breakfast, air con. Pretty good. A little dated, but that is not my top priority. Very helpful and friendly check-in staff; just great.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The ice machine and hot tub were out of order at the time.

Spent one night at prarire crest hotel. Have four kids in the room.Shortly after 9 with 3/4 kids asleep we notice the ceiling is leaking. My husband goes downstairs to talk to front desk. Wants us to check out with no where to go. Again 4 kids here. Multiple arguements back and forth which end in them threating us that we will need to pay the full nights stay and to relocate to 2 small rooms tomorrow. Full cost of 1 room PLUS 65 for the room since they do not have what we paid for avaliable. Water coming through the ceiling and out the wall vents.

Breakfast was fresh but not a lot of variety. Staff was great and the rooms were very clean and large. Overall was a nice stay!

The hotel itself is older but you can tell they have made tons of renovations to keep it up to date. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are nice and clean. The beds were super comfy as well. I think it's time they start to upgrade the bathrooms in the rooms, but they were still clean and functionable. The breakfast in the morning was a nice bonus. A decent variety to choose from. My only small complaint is the lack of housekeeping. Despite putting my housekeeping request sign on my door, they did not show up that morning. The front desk told me I needed to request it at the front desk but there was no mention of needing to do that at check-in, nor was there a notification of that in our room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay at this property again. The price was right!
