Great hotel, huge bedrooms, lots of social space. Plenty of areas in spa so never felt crowded, breakfast small in comparison to others i’ve had but it was fine.

Lovely room (206) on the ground floor with sliding patio door to access the peaceful courtyard (water, fountains, small trees) and chairs to sit on your own small ‘patio’. Spacious room, great en suite. Food excellent (Catch of the Day fish and chips - hake in our case - better than Rick Stein’s Takeaway version in Padstow) Hotel in a lovely setting. Great sunsets. Spa, pool and changing room (Ladies’ - didn’t see Men’s side) spotlessly clean. Friendly, cheerful staff happy to help and can’t do enough for you.

Our room was kept clean and tidy, particularly the bathroom. The staff throughout the hotel were polite and friendly. They were extremely helpful in a number of ways.

We arrived on the Friday evening and had a quick check in with very helpful and friendly staff. Dinner in the hotel was good but quite expensive. There are local pub restaurants a short drive up the road or a walk into village . The views are amazing as we had an executive room with patio facing the estuary. The views of the castle and town to the left and to the right the village were very pleasing to the eye and I spent a great deal of time just watching the world go by on the patio. The room was clean and well stocked . The downside of this spa hotel is the fact that guests can only use the pool and sauna/ steam room ect either early in morning or from 5pm onwards. Absolutely atrocious as the cost of hotel isn’t cheap. If weather is bad you are unable to use the facilities as they favour non guests over guests. The treatments are quite expensive but good. I would stay again but very disappointed of limited time allowed in pool. As you can imagine come 5pm it can get busy as weekend .

We went to this hotel for a wind down and get away from it all. We didn't use the spa, but we didn't need to. From the moment we arrived we left everything going on back home behind bus, and have returned today totally refreshed and ready to go again!

Breakfast was very average and borderline overcooked. Both days an item was missed off the breakfast… day 1 Hashbrown day 2 … Sausage ! The food was luke warm at best and the coffee was weak. Dinner … the restaurant is very expensive and the food poor and the cost of drinks, in particular wine is extortionate. Rooms are really nice and so is raw Spa.

Room was spotlessly clean, all staff exceptionally helpful and food was delicious. As we were only there for one night we didn’t get chance to go into the spa but we hope to next time 😁

It is a surprise to see the hotel because it is hidden in the estate from the road. It is beautifully situated overlooking the straits with the Castle lit up at night. Inside the hotel is tastefully decorated and everywhere is well maintained An excellent place to discover North Wales from.

Cons-I called this hotel in advance to request linens and towels to be washed in unscented detergent and no scented cleaning products used in the room- they said they could honor this request, upon arriving at the hotel in the lobby, we smelled a strong floral scent that continued through the hallway to our room. Our bathroom reeked of the strongest floral scent-worse than the hallways and lobby-we informed a man who brought us extra towels of the smell and my allergies-his response was Oh. He said they spray a linen and lavender spray in the bathrooms of every room. He offered no solutions to the problem and he left. I had a full blown allergic reaction. My face swelled up. I coughed and sneezed and got very little sleep here. Con-you have to book your breakfast time in advance. Our time was for 7:30am. This was hard to do since I got very little sleep. We called to push it back, but they couldn’t change it. They said we could not be more than 10 minutes late. Con-refused to give a late checkout for 1 hour later Con-They don’t care about the health of their guests because they spray toxic scents in the public restrooms, lobby, hallways and rooms. Pros-breakfast was good-was made to order-we ordered fried eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes, also-self service buffet of cereal, breads, fruit, yogurt, etc. We were seated by male worker to a table near a window. Pro-located by the water with a nice view, however, extremely cold when we stayed Pro-large bathroom

We enjoyed our recent stay. Large room good view of the bay, walkable to Conwy and Llandudno along the coast. Staff very friendly, good breakfast. Only downside is limited access to the spa which then makes it busy out of hours and not enough room to sit down and relax but overall would recommend
