We loved our stay at Hotel Il Faro. Our room was clean and spacious. Healthy, delicious breakfast, wonderful staff, and great location. We would definitely return!

This hotel is both beautiful, clean and well situated at the harbor for ease of tours, travel and restaurants. The morning breakfast has many choices along with a barista to make your favorite caffe. We had a Seaview with balcony room! Absolutely beautiful! We highly recommend.

Excellent and beautifully appointed boutique hotel in great location! Close to Marina if you are taking ferries. Close to train. Wonderful sea views and gorgeous rooftop pool and bar. Delicious coffee and breakfast. Excellent restaurant right on site which was super convenient. The staff could not be nicer and more attentive and accommodating especially the breakfast and bar staff Ana, Antonella, Vincente, Ciro and front desk Cristina. Restaurant staff next door also exceptional. Michele and Hussein were the best. HIGHLY recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return.

Clean and well-maintained room, and the breakfast was decent with a good variety of options. The overall experience was just ok, the staff could have been a bit more welcoming. One downside was the bar area, which tended to get quite noisy at night and could be disruptive for guests looking to relax. The room was not soundproof, and noise from outside frequently disturbed our sleep at night, making it difficult to rest comfortably.

Room was very hot when outside temperature was 65 deg F. Air Conditioning was not operating in April. Only heater worked. Only way to cool off room was to shut off hot air fan and keep window open all night long. Bed mattress was sooo firm I literally got a back ache and did not get any sleep. Other problems: 1) TV (only a 20 inch computer monitor) did not work because the TV cable connector was broken. 2) Shower head fell when I was adjusting it. 3) Telephone had no dialing instructions to call reception therefore I had to go back to reception to complain about the issues in the room. 4) Corner Shower was sooo small you can not bend over to wash yourself.

I was skeptical when we arrived because it seemed like a cute but simple stay compared to what I usually get. But the rooms were very clean, the breakfast was good and the staff went above and beyond to help us. They were very patient and considerate. Even after we checked out they helped us.

Pick the hotel because it convenient location to the ferry and tour starting point

Room and hotel in general very clean and tidy, breakfast was very good with plenty of choices. Location was ideal as we arrived via the port, and the hotel is right next to it. A bit of a trek up the cliffs into Sorrento centre but no big deal if mobile. Taxis also readily available at the port.

Went to the wrong Il Faro first which was a disaster that took a £30 taxi ride to fix. Not even a real entry, but google thinks it is. And watch out. It’s on the port which is at the bottom of the cliff below the town. Lovely location and there is a lift to the top of the cliff.

Place was great. I would stay again!

Clean rooms and friendly staff

We were here for a quick night's sleep before catching the ferry to Capri in the morning. Staff was absolutely lovely and helped us with our car. The room was clean and comfortable and a lovely little mirror to give us a beautiful view to wake up to from bed. Breakfast was great! Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

The room smelled musty, the WiFi didn’t work, the air conditioning didn’t work, the shower leaked but the breakfast was good and so was the bar

Booked to be close to the pier in order to have easy access to different tours on boat. Recommend for that, otherwise, many other options above in the city
