Breakfast was great, room is very comfortable as was shower. Garage is very tight and stressful. Good location. No help with luggage. No gym

Not what you’d expect of a five-star hotel chain: lumpy mattresses, cheap sheets that didn’t fit the bed, no kettle in room so hot water from coffee machine tasted odd, two tiny bottles of water in fridge, fan that didn't work overnight only in morning. However, room was clean and staff were nice when they were responsive.

The hotel and our room were clean, and the staff were attentive. The bed was comfortable, and the rooms were well soundproofed. The location is about a 10-minute walk from the train and bus station, and roughly three blocks from the park. The old town is around a 15-minute walk away. We stayed for five nights, and our only wish was that the hotel had a gym—even a small one, so we wouldn’t have had to pay a daily rate at the gym next door.

Great location. Steps away from the main park and all the things to see in old town. Very pretty bar and dining room. Lovely staff. GREAT A/C in the rooms. Comfortable beds. Cons: no tea in the rooms and terrible coffee — but you can’t buy coffee or tea at the breakfast area without buying breakfast. You have to go outside. Worst thing was the parking. Smallest garage with the tiniest pin curves. Literally ruined my check-in, I was so nervous about scratching our SUV. And hotel elevator isn’t on all floors — so we had to drive to P5 to park and then carry all our things up a flight of stairs. We avoided leaving the garage just because it’s almost impossible to pass cars coming up/down at the same time too. It’s all I thought about day of checkout.

We loved staying there. Beautiful hotel, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast buffet and so close to old town, museums, parks and all conveniences we needed. We had the additional experience of visiting during San Mateo festival which was fun.

We loved our stay at Barcelo Oviedo Cevantes! The rooms were super nice and a good size. The beds were comfy. The location was excellent. The service was impeccable. I would stay here again!

The bed was comfortable. The a/c was strong. The room was large. There is a parking garage which was easily accessible for a large van. The decor is modern and attractive.
