We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Porto Azzuro at the end of June. The hotel is beautifully maintained and run extremely well. Staff were very friendly and helpful, always happy to help. Service at reception and the bar was always good with a wide selection of drinks, cocktails, fancy ice creams, snacks and meals. We had a double with balcony room on the third floor facing the garden/road. We never heard any noise, the room was super quiet. Bed was comfy enough.The room itself was quite spacious, good wardrobe space. No drawers apart from one bedside drawer. The bathroom was big and very clean and fairly modern. One criticism is the size of the shower cubicle, it was very small and the shower was totally in the wrong place. There wasn't much room behind so I frequently hit my arms on the cubicle sides! A few other things that need to be added to the rooms - a glass for toothbrush/toothpaste, there were paper cups - very odd! A bin in the room is needed. We struggled with the tiny bathroom bin. Also tissues, we bought our own from the local supermarket. Breakfast was fantastic, so much to choose from and beautifully presented. I couldn't fault it! The staff are lovely too. The swimming pool is a really good size and a massive bonus for our stay as it was 37° and we needed it. The sunbeds are looking tired and a bit grubby and a lot of the parasols were no longer working. But the pool and pool area are well maintained. The bus stop to go into Sirmione is opposite the hotel.

Very impressed with this property and the local area around. They offer free bicycles to get around and was only a 10min cycle to old town, with the castle. Highly recommend this property. Room 122 was remodelled and looks fantastic

Great hotel with breakfast included, nice environment and other restaurants nearby. Walking distance to Sirmioni town very chic place full of restaurants and shops, beautiful streets for anytime strolls. Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff, helpful with restaurant suggestions and also parking for visiting the Castle. Very comfortable bed and great location.

Friendly and welcoming staff, lovely rooms, and a great pool. The breakfast was varied and well stocked, the balcony offered a great view, and using the hotel bikes to cycle into town was a real highlight. We had a fantastic stay.

This is a smaller hotel but nice and in a quiet location. The rooms as clean, comfortable beds, just very small in size. We had to put our large luggage on top of the cabinet as there was no space on the floor. The pool is small but clean. Check in was fast and the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night as they were fully booked for the weekend. There is a restaurant right across the street, looks nice, we didn't try it. Breakfast had a wide variety of choices and the hotel has plenty of parking around and under the property in the garage.

Very clean and updated room. The hotel has a lovely pool. We did not have a chance to use it. I liked that they offered a breakfast buffet.

Terrible check-in experience and rude management. We had an awful check-in experience. They tried to give us a room where the balcony directly faced another balcony, leaving us with absolutely no privacy as neighbors could look right into our room. When we politely expressed our dissatisfaction, the manager rudely shouted at us. We were told that because we booked a "cheap rate" through Expedia, they wouldn't help us or give us another room, and that we should contact Expedia instead. They explicitly stated things would be different only if we had booked directly. Appalling customer service.

Fantastic breakfast, great variety and quality. Very quiet to sleep, excellence rest. They give bicycles to reach town centre, which is an excellent idea. I will definitely return for longer!

Very comfortable hotel. Nice located close to lake and shuttle bus stop, with self parking. Room was clean and saw how cleaning service was working in other rooms. Thye place great emphasis on cleanliness. Tasty breakfast, everyone will find some for him. 10/10 highly recommended!

Andreas was exceptionally helpful and friendly. He was very welcoming and was able to answer any queries we had.

We arrived early but were made very welcome & it was no problem to leave our bags with reception & go out exploring on the hotel bikes (Free of charge) There was a slight mix up with our room allocation but it was eventually resolved & the staff were very apologetic. Hotel was in a good location to explore Sirmione old town & new town & close to the bus stop for our onward journey. Pool area was nice & clean. Breakfast was great, lots of choice

Staff was amazing! Andreas at the bar and Andrea at the Reception were both helpful and welcoming.

When I checked in, the room toilet had not been flushed. Asked the staff about it. there was no follow-up. The toilet also would not stop running and the staff thought that was normal. I had to press a second button to stop, how dumb. The evening check-in man was nice, but the woman in the morning was kind of rude. I did like the bike rental.
