Lovely hotel but our room wasn’t cleaned properly, could have done with a good freshen up , however we did see painters in so probably in process of freshening up rooms, bed was very comfortable but could have done with new pillows as they were a bit flat, Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Food was very good huge portions, freshly cooked and reasonably priced.

An excellent stay at this well located hotel. The food was excellent, the menu isn't massive but I'd rather a smaller menu with exceptional food than an extensive menu with poor food. The venison in red wine was ad one of the staff desc6it, to die for! Breakfast was also very good.

For the price this hotel/training centre is great value. Have no hesitation recommending Burn Hall.

Plenty of parking available, check-in was easy. Reception area and bar and dining areas were all very nice. There's outside seating, which we put to good use with a couple of beers in the sunshine. Our bedroom was an executive size as we like a bigger bed. Unfortunately the hotel is tired in this area and needs a refurb on the rooms. Little things like ridiculous bedside lights not being bright enough and 1 of our mattresses was a bit 'springy'. (2 beds joined together). The saving grace was the room size and the fact that it was very clean and there was plenty of tea/coffee. The toilet and shower area, although very clean and tidy, were in need of a definite upgrade. Some handyman just needs to go around and put some silicone or trim around the bath area and just look at areas that need work doing etc etc. The extractor fan wasn't working. The staff were amazing, and were extremely helpful. Food was good, especially the venison stew! Breakfast was absolutely fine with usual choice of English breakfast items. I would have liked a few extras like croissants or crumpets but perhaps they may appear at some point in the future. We had a good time over the 2 night stay and had dinner at the hotel both nights. There are a couple of eateries in Huby, just down the road, where you could go to for a change .

Right from checking in, our room,the staff, the grounds & the food & drink being excellent. The staff are really friendly especially in the bar & restaurant where they made a special effort as my partner is vegan, also the food & drinks were really reasonable which I didn’t expect with it being a hotel. Sitting outside on the terrace in the sun with a cold cider/beer was fabulous as was sitting in the lounge on an evening chatting to Tom the barman. He was really helpful in suggesting local places to visit on our weekend away. We will definitely be back especially with the direct deals they have at the moment £169/179for 2 for 2 nights including breakfast & £15 towards your 1st night meal Apr-Sept. Bargin!!!! Well done everyone❤️💜

Facility is very old. The staff, service and environment is great.

Good stay overall. What i would say is dont expect it to look like the pictures we was but when we got there looked like a block of flats. Breakfast wasnt the best tbh very little on offer very basic but it was included with our stay. For the price you cant go wrong as nesr york its double the price.

Good Hotel, Great breakfast and staff, quiet. 15 minutes to York, old furniture Good hot water pressure.

Last minute booking. Place was lovely. Reception staff very welcoming. Our room, executive double was spacious and clean. The bathroom fan not working so when had a shower very misty. The breakfast was good, a bit limited on choice but to be expected at this price point. For what we paid we were more than satisfied, especially since it was a spur of the moment decision

Lovely hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Although the hotel is located outside the city, it’s only about an 18-minute drive to the city centre, so it’s still very convenient. Highly recommended!

Was excellent just one or two minor defects but not a problem.Will visit again

It was dissapointing, more like a travelodge pretending to be a Country hotel. There was nothing executive about our executive double room. Breakfast was good but far from anything special i.e no baked goods, no cheese, plain yogurt only. Sadly not worth what we paid for it.

Staff friendly and efficient. No bathroom light as broken/bulb gone. Unable to change the radiator temperature in room so was too hot to sleep. Mug had been used and biscuits open and half eaten. It did look like the other clean mug and biscuits so assume the cleaner not checked. However there was a good amount of tea and coffee left if id have felt ok to use the mugs. Everything else is as expected for the standard of hotel

Friendly staff and nice room

Room was spotless and the bed was comfy, we had a extra king size bed and it was perfect to ralax on after a day exploring York. The staff were very pleasant, we did not eat in the hotel

Nice big spacious room. Breakfast was reasonable but could just do with a little bit more choice.
