No air conditioning

Room was clean, staff great, but AC didn’t work. Was unfortunate.

Sadly, I cannot recommend this hotel. I was there at the end of August and it was hot. On check-in, I asked for a quiet room away from elevators and preferably at the end of a corridor. I asked twice and the woman ensured me the room would be quiet. Upon arriving at the room, I found it at the beginning of a very long corridor with lots of rooms after it, which meant a lot of people would be walking by at all hours. In addition, the room was hot, the air conditioning didn’t work, the fan for the air conditioning made a very loud noise, and the light in the entrance didn’t work. When I tried to call the front desk and housekeeping to report the problems, I found the phone didn’t work either. When I walked back to the front desk, I had to wait 10 minutes to be served (I waited 10-15 minutes every time I went to the front desk). They did give me a new upgraded room but their attitude was surly and there were no apologies or offer to help with my very heavy luggage. When I trekked to the new room, I found the key didn’t work, so had to return to the front desk, again carrying my very heavy luggage. Then, I waited for 10 min to get a new key. Again, no apologies or offers to help with my luggage. When I got into the room, the air conditioning barely worked. I complained and they said they would come but then never did. They gave me a free drink but I’d rather have had aircon. I asked several people in the hotel if their aircon worked and was told “barely” by all of them.

We were given 2 days free breakfast due to AC wasn’t working and breakfast was delicious Hotel it self nice place to stay close to Alexander platz, stuff were nice to us I love this hotel

Unser Aufenthalt war leider sehr enttäuschend. Beim Check-in mussten wir lange auf unser Zimmer warten. Im Zimmer und an der Rezeption lag überall Staub auf den Dekoelementen – ganz offensichtlich wurde hier nicht gründlich gereinigt. Unser „Deluxe“-Zimmer war extrem klein und schlecht durchdacht: Der WC-Bereich war nur durch eine halbe Wand vom Schlafbereich getrennt. Wenn man nachts nur kurz ins Bad wollte, gingen drei Deckenlampen und ein lauter Lüfter automatisch an – das ganze Zimmer wurde hell erleuchtet, was sehr störend war, da wir für unser schlafendes Kind gerade Dunkelheit geschaffen hatten. Die Klimaanlage hat kaum funktioniert, es war heiß und stickig im Raum, und die Fenster ließen sich wegen Kindersicherung nur ca. 10 cm öffnen. Im Duschbereich war deutlich Schimmel zu sehen. Das Frühstück war sehr mager und jeden Tag exakt gleich. Für 3 Nächte mit Frühstück für 3 Personen haben wir fast 500 € gezahlt – dazu kam noch eine Steuer, die laut App bereits enthalten war. Wir kommen definitiv nicht wieder und würden diesen Aufenthalt niemandem empfehlen.

Lovely and clean, good breakfast and room service options for a variety of diets. My room was a small double so I had no bath or a table, but as I was a solo traveller I could spread out around the room!

L'hotel esta molt be per el personal de esmorçar, recepcio i netega d'habitacions, les instalacions estan molt be malgrat l'edificacio es antiga, les reformes fetes es noten; l'incomoditat esta en el temps de desplaçament fins els centres ( Postdamer platz i Zoologic ) Berlin es una gran ciutat i els berlinessos son molt amables
