Our group of 6 had a wonderful time - felt like we were in our little Greek village away from the noise which Oia is known for. The pool was perfect and each room unique. The breakfast was outstanding !! Thoughtful food that incorporated diverse taste and for small or big appetites. Kudos to the chef !! Finally thanks to our host that gave us tips and organize adventures and transportation. We will be back and will be telling our friends and family !! Thank you for making our stay memorable!

A fantastic location with a professional and friendly stafff with great english. One of the finest views I have seen in my life from the t=roof of my room. Breathtaking. I will never forget the time I spent there or the people that made that place so special.

Hi! Our stay at your hotel exceeded our expectations by a universe!!! We could not believe how beautiful it was, and how amazingly well kept the entire hotel is! All the beautiful plants and flowers, the freshly painted buildings, the clean and awesome pool, our room which was the best one ever (we were sure it was the definitively BEST room and location in the hotel : )) And the most amazing views and location in the entire town! Your staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating and we loved the tasty breakfast with new surprises every morning. The very thoughtful gesture of a breakfast tray in our room before our super early departure was HIGHLY appreciated and soo sweet! Our sunsets with drinks delivered by front desk staff to the top terrasse and the amazing sunrise made us not wanting to leave ever.. We will definitely be back, and hopefully our room will be available... LOL . Thank you Thank you for taking such good care of your guests and your unique hotel!!!

The property lies at the heart of Oia with very easy access. Breakfasts are very good. The property very clean. The staff are helpful with good English skills. The property lies a little distance from bus stops and car parks. Some luggage dragging over cobblestones might be required, and the property is not so easy to find. We got a hotel transfer, which I would recommend. This worked perfectly, with the drivers and hotel staff handling all the luggage for us. We had a great stay. Would stay here again.

Such a wonderful experience at this little village within the village of Oia. A true Greek atmosphere in a fabulous position. Views from the roof terrace and pool area are incredible.

You cannot beat the Aetherio Hotel for its combination of location and price! It is like a magical little village just off the main walking street in Oia. The rooftop sunset views are outrageously gorgeous without the wall to wall crowds you look out at standing on the terraces of the restaurants below! The pool area is lovely, the breakfast room is quirky, and each unique little accommodation creates a gorgeous village worthy of its surroundings. The room was comfortable and spacious. And again, the location can’t be beat! My only quibble is that while the staff was incredibly helpful, this hotel was the only place in Greece where I encountered pressure to tip, and the transfer the staff arranged for us to the ferry terminal was terrifying as the van only had one working seatbelt and we were two passengers. Given the descent to the ferry terminal this was more than a bit scary but obviously we arrived safe and sound. All of this is minor, however, compared to the beauty and quiet of the property itself. The breakfast was adequate although inside only tables were a bit tight on the day that it rained.

Perfect location. Typical Santorini architecture so pretty . Staff members were very helpful accommodating checking in time and did their best to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Outdoor pool looked very inviting but it was too windy and kinda chilly to go into water when we were there. However, the breakfast could be better.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the shopping, restaurants and photo opportunities. Our room had a large living room, storage was good, the bedroom was a fair size. Room 17 has a large private balcony and on the rooftop is the hotels sunset viewing area. The shower is small, but the bathroom or a good size. The “no paper” in the toilet is difficult. Our mid May 2026 visit was too cold for the pool. The breakfast bar is minimal but good enough.

This hotel is truly in the middle of everything in Oia. It is a bit of e walk in with your luggage to the hotel which I learned is the case with many hotels there. Just be prepared for that. But it’s a nice comfortable quiet hotel. I would definitely stay again.

Fabulous stay at Aethrio Sunset. Angie and staff were professional,friendly and helpful.I’m so happy to have stayed here. Our apartment had a loft room leading to balcony with views across Aegean Sea, Caldera and Blue Dome church of Oia. Wish we stayed longer. Delicious breakfast spacious room and a pleasant day exploring the beautiful streets of Oia all close to the apartment.

Breakfast was good with lots of choice. The rooftop patios were excellent to watch the sunset. The staff were efficient and kind.

Breakfast was the highlight- plenty of choice. Staff were very helpful. We stayed at start of season so evening chilly- would’ve been nice if floor had a rug as heatpump not very effective

I stayed here for a week at the start of the season with my daughter. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location absolutely stunning. The 'village within a village' set up felt like you were able to escape to a home base away from the outside world whilst still being right in the heart of Oia's old town. The blue dome of the church next door to the hotel is visible while lying by the pool to remind you of where you are, and the views from the decks glorious. I would definitely return to this place at the drop of a hat!

READ CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU BOOK THIS HOTEL. The hotel entrance it is not nearby the main street. You will have to walk about 200 meters in a steep street to get to the hotel. This path it is not stroller or wheelchair friendly. If you are an elder person or travel with elders, it's going to be hard for them. Do not go during orthodox eastern. There is a church, literally 10 feet from the hotel. The tradition dictates that someone has to ring a 300 pound bell every 10 seconds (not exaggerating it's literally every 10 seconds). It will last until past 11 PM, which makes it impossible to rest or sleep.

Great spot for setting up camp and moving about. It’s right in the middle of everything.
