Basic hotel

No mirror in whole room beside washroom. Bed has a dent on the right side. Have to sleep on left. My bed was not clean properly.

Clean , nice place to hang and shower before 4 nights of hanging with the farmily

Love these older motels that have been renovated. Nice, new, clean rooms with large rooms that older style motels used to have. I love being able to park directly in front of my room. Plenty of parking spaces. Breakfast was plentiful and staff were very pleasant. We were going to stay in Nelson but decided to drive down the road a bit. Glad we did. Great price. Great place.

Staff was helpful and even let us check in early. The rooms are clean and are of good size. The property is old and it shows. The bathroom and carpets need replacing and that seems the only reason for unpleasant smell in hotel.

The hotel was very clean. The staff was very helpful. They handed out a gift card to Mr. Mike's which was very nice. We got a free appetizer. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. We would totally stay there again

Room clean. No elevator, no automatic doors, noisy stairs that can be heard in the room. Zero communication with the hotel, as I called the facility several times to ask questions, no answer, can’t leave a message, no email contact. They made it tough on retired senior, by not honouring my request for a ground floor unit. Booked at least 7 months in advance. Never again.

Clean and neat No elevator for accessible needs

During my stay I had a personal problem I needed to deal with and I can’t say enough about Saudia at the front desk! She provided excellent, above and beyond help! She listened and understood my issue and was very professional in her approach to solving it. She found me a solution that exceeded my expectations. She is a gem, and she can be relied on to make your stay fantastic!

Room was clean with excellent amenities. Breakfast was good. Staff were excellent and very polite and friendly.

Everything was good

Large bedroom was good. The bathroom was a little tight but functional. A better toilet would enhance the room. They installed small toilets… it’s a long way down to sit and the water level is close to the seat which can cause a problem for men. Breakfast was okay… some scrambled eggs would have added value. For an older property the public areas are nicely redone except for the creaky stairwell.

SureStay is a hotel that we will be keeping on our places to stay while in Castlegar! The rooms were updated, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The air conditioning worked like a charm which was great as the temperatures were heating up during our stay. The staff were top notch - friendly, super accommodating and very welcoming - and any time we needed anything, they were happy to oblige really quickly (soap refill, extra towels and garbage bags, etc.). We liked SureStay so much that we decided to stay an extra day so we could get another day of riding in the area! There were only a couple suggestions for improvement on an otherwise great few days - the complimentary breakfast was a bonus but some of the items should be checked for best before dates or freshness (yogurt/muffins) and the tables should be periodically wiped down (or provide cleaning materials for guests to do it themselves?). Overall, it's a great place to stay for a few days and we will be sure to book it the next time we're in Castlegar.

The staff was amazing and very helpful. I asked for early check in and they made sure it happened
