Very convenient if coming in using Eurostar. From the train arrival, we were in the hotel within 10 mins. Friendly staff, my room was near corner so larger than average compared to my friends. Very unlikely I’ll be in Lille again but highly recommend anyone who does go to book here.

It was a decent hotel - I would have expected more for the “star” hotel it was. Just had a standard hotel feel to it. Lobby, room, staff. Night staff Paul, however was a welcoming host. Same with the Valet.

Standard of Hôtel was to next level. Excellent amenities. Very close to Eurostar train station of Lille France. Nice 15 mins walk to old town & Grand place. From our point nothing was missing in our room. Top notch hotel with great luxury feeling.

The hotel was great. We arrived at 11.45am although checkin is at 3pm. Our room wasn't ready but they called me at 1pm when it was- this was convenient. The room itself was nice and spacious with bathrobes and slippers included and a nice bathroom. They provided free water bottles in the room and we could ask for more whenever we needed for free. Free umbrellas were also available at reception to borrow, as were power banks to charge your phone. Any issues we had (eg TV not working, flush not working) were promptly resolved. Loved this hotel, would stay again.

Rooms are good, but this is far from a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was terrible by all standards, and definitely not worth the price.

Hotel Barriere was excellent as always. Staff are fantastic and always pleasant and very helpful. Is always our first choice of hotel when staying in the region.

Great Hotel

I loved everything about this hotel except the food and dining. Our room wasn’t ready when we checked in and so they encouraged us to go to bar for food and snacks where we waited 30 min and had to ask for a server twice before being told he was busy and the only server (despite having at least 5-6 staff at check-in desk). I also ordered room service with their app as instructed inside room and never received it. We ordered champagne and caviar two hours before a night out and didn’t receive it, and ordered breakfast the next morning three hours before check out and didn’t receive it. When I called about both it seemed like they could have cared less. The staff at the reception desk, however, were very hospitable and accommodating.

The hotel is very comfortable and the staff is extremely professional, friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed my stay and am looking forward to returning to the property.

Nice room, modern style and pretty well-equipped. Feels like a business hotel first and foremost. Bed very comfortable. Our only issue was a leak in the bathroom which they checked out promptly, but. Couldn’t fix during our 1 night stay, do they laid towels to soak up ongoing leak. No room change or compensation offered, which was a little disappointing as the bathroom floor was high shine tiles ie very slippy if wet.
