I knew beforehand that the building was literally attached to an abandon building however, it is so close to the beach and the lighthouse walking trail that I decided to book anyways and I am glad I did. We had no problems with any unwanted guest from the abandoned building next-door. That was our concern that we would run into people living there. It was very safe. We were even walking around well after midnight with no problem. The property itself is in great condition and it was very convenient to have a room with all the amenities that we were looking for the man at the check-in was very helpful .

Good, not great. If your priorities are space and location, this is the place for you. Location was amazing as it’s just steps from a gorgeous beach and the boardwalk path along the coast. Additionally, the space was huge. But there were a couple of things that prevent me from absolutely loving the property. For one, I upgraded my booking to a room with a beach view/ balcony, which was an additional 300 Euros. The room was on the 2nd floor at the far end of the property so we didn’t really have the best ocean view, and I felt the extra price we paid was not worth it. Also, we couldn’t enjoy the balcony because the AC condenser was located outside right next to the balcony and it blew hot air right onto us, making it uncomfortable to sit outside. The concierge is only around 10 am -6 pm, and there were a few instances where we would have appreciated their help in the early morning. Additionally, there were a few minor things. No shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, did not receive new clean towels each day, no blackout curtains in the bedroom. We enjoyed our stay overall, but these small things prevent me from rating this 5 stars.

We LOVED our stay in Lagos at the Villa Doris. Our room was huge and was outfit like a standard apartment, with everything from beach towels to a coffee machine. We booked an ocean view room and enjoyed the massive patio every day. The location to the beach was the primary reason we booked this hotel. We appreciated that we were a bit outside of downtown Lagos, as it only took us about 15 minutes to walk to where the higher concentration of shops and restaurants were. The Spar grocery store was only about a 10 minute walk from the hotel and saw us multiple times a day. The staff was very friendly and we were sad for our stay to end!

Everything about this hotel was perfect. Location was perfect, the staff working were unbelievable, the proximity to everything was amazing and the views were unbelievable. The space was extremely clean and the views were breathtaking. I highly recommend this place!!

Staff and property were 10/10. The property is located steps from the ocean, hiking and old Lagos. Parking in the building is basically unusable - there arent very many spots and the garage itself is poorly designed and extremely difficult to navigate for even Europeans used to tight spaces.

This place was a gem and our favorite hotel we stayed at in Portugal! Very close to the city center and the main beach is literally a two minute walk down the street. The staff was SO kind, especially Anna. She let us check in early, gave us multiple recommendations, and a map of the area and a very detailed explanation including so many helpful tips! She also recommended a safari tour (including a discount so it was cheaper than the one we had previously booked with "Get Your Guide") which ended up being lovely. We were able to take a beach umbrella for free, and already had beach towels in our room. Everything was spacious, clean, and we had a lovely little balcony with some chairs. The pool at the hotel is quite small, so they also gave us complimentary access to the sister hotels facilities (a five minute walk up the street) which had a lovely gym, two pools and a gorgeous little restaurant! Parking was also super convenient in a garage directly below the hotel because the main free parking lot fills up so quick. (everyone wants access to the gorgeous beach!) Views were amazing and I would highly recommend staying here. We felt so welcomed Anna helped out with each request and answered all of our questions. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!

Property very clean and near by beach. Location is not near any restaurants or coffee shops. We had to walk about 15 min for that.

Great location and very clean property

Overall, the apartment was exactly what we wanted. The location is perfect. It was very clean and we enjoyed it very much. The only issue was with check-in after research and receiving a message through Expedia we were told we had to check in at a different location, which we did we had the Uber driver drop us off there however we were given miscommunication and had to check in at the main apartment. It was very frustrating and the person on the desk said that many people are doing the same thing. So I think the message being sent out automatically has to be changed.

L’appartement et le lieu sont superbes. Propre et service rapide à la chambre. Nous avons eu un problème avec la cuisinière et en 10 minutes, quelqu'un est venu nous aider. Nous avions la vue sur l'eau, magnifique!! Beaucoup de bonheur à prendre les repas sur le balcon ! L'hôtel est proche de la plage, ce qui est très bien. La chambre est grande et très propre. Pour se divertir, si on veut un peu d'animation et des restos, c'est à 20 minutes de marche, il n'y a presque rien autour. Adjacent à l'hôtel, un bâtiment en ruine gâche un peu le paysage. En général, je recommande cet hôtel, particulièrement pour la vue.

Great location, clean, good AC. Free parking in front of hotel more convenient than underground garage if you have a big car.

Check in was easy and the staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Our family suite was spacious and clean. The kitchen was stocked with all the items we needed. The proximity to the beach was a huge plus. We were able to walk on the boardwalk to and from town if we wanted, took cheap Ubers into the city and enjoyed the gorgeous weather and great food. Our room included a large balcony that overlooked the water. We spent some time out there in the evenings. The black curtains in the bedroom were great, because the summer sun comes right in otherwise. I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with kids and wants some space.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a beautiful view of the beach. The apartment was clean, had a lot of amenities, and was very comfortable. The location was fabulous! It was a short walk to the beach and a 20 minute walk to the old city. We loved it and would definitely go back.
