We came from Kyoto. It was a little difficult as we took a bus that only ran twice a day. Once we arrived it was a short walk to the hotel. The hotel is a little old which I expected from other reviews. The room was nice but the bathroom was a little too old for my taste. The public baths are the highlight of visiting. I heard you can buy just a day pass which is a great option. We went to the baths in the evening and there were not many people. I booked the breakfast/dinner package. The buffet had a lot of options but leaned fully on Japanese cuisine. You have 90 minutes for all you can eat. I wouldn’t stay here again as I felt we overpaid for the accommodations but the town in general was great and seemed like it had a lot of options. Would recommend the onsen

This hotel is very comfortable, with traditional Japanese Futon style , very spacious and relaxing. Sitting by the windows looking at the view outside make you feel very relaxing. The Onsen is very good , with both indoor and outdoor hot bath pool to choose from. Very highly recommended.

I travel to the city by international flight connecting buses, when I arrive I expected taxi to help me to move my luggage to hotel. Or I would find shuttle buses but there was none. I then I finally move everything upward to the hotel lobby then was told: I COULD CALL HOTEL TO SEND FREE SHUTTLE BUS TO SEND US UP TO THE HOTEL For free!!! I emailed hotel in advance to my departure but was not advised how shuttle bus would work, or given impression there would be taxi lining up at bus station. SO, PLEASE BE AWARE/ ADVISE, you can call hotel to pick you up!! The hotel is big, and a bit rundown, but hot spring, tatami room, dinner are within my expectation. My friend who travel to Japan told me other nature hot springs are cheaper than this city. But I don’t mind to try once in my life. I would like to visit other hot springs in Japan in the future.

I love the ryokan room. I was able to experience the traditional Japanase culture. The onsen is great too. It is good to be relax here. And, I love the variety of Japanese foods especially the Wagyu. 👌

Our washitsu (Japanese style tatami room) was absolutely gorgeous, not to mention, being on one of the higher floors we had a stunning view of the town! I highly recommend this place! They are English and family friendly, making accomodations for our toddler. Fantastic service! And the onsen are fantastic! They do not have the Gin no Yu (silver bath) which is the only thing they lacked. Otherwise perfect scores across the board!
