Good value. Great position. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the beer , light supper & breakfast. Decent tea & coffee in the room. Hot tap loose in the on- suite, however room was clean & cosy. No parking but able to park by roadside not too far from the Inn. Would stay again.

Fantastic staff! Bedroom was big and roomy, clean, well decorated and all amenities included. Only negative is that there is no parking but we were aware of that and there is a public car park literally a 100 yards away. A special mention to the breakfast staff who were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Would thoroughly recommend and would stay here again.

Lovely stay in this 400 year old building with all its quirky characteristics. Obviously you cannot expect the modern look and feel of ‘normal’ hotels…this has charm and character. Minor issues would be the rather drab colour of our bedroom….no other option than sugar in the bedroom, we would like sweeteners….a little mould on the shower tiles needs attention.

Great location. Property with character and mostly comfortable. Because of the old building if you’re tall then be careful…lots of low ceilings and doorways. Very friendly staff throughout. Nice restaurant and a bar.

Friendly staff and locals in a beautiful Olde worlde hotel. Made to feel very welcome but genuine none of this going through the motions. We loved it and will re visit.

Historic building, friendly staff, cozy pub.

Lovely clean room. I had arranged previously for my booking to be changed from a double to a twin room, and this had been with no problem at all. The building is fascinating, being 500 years old. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful, and the breakfasts were excellent. We stayed there over Christmas, and a particularly thoughtful touch was the Christmas stocking left outside the room door for us!

The room was very clean,but it was rather cold as it had only a convector heater-Not enough warmth and heat,hence the condensation on the windows. Shower and extactor Fan were excellent. The food,drink and the service were very good.

1 night stay to meet up with family. Lovely staff throughout stay, bar, check in, cleaners and breakfast. Great welcome from the staff Room was spacious , clean and well presented. It's an old period pub/hotel so the shower room.eas compact but all perfectly fine. Bed was really comfortable and although my room was close to the road I wasn't disturbed at all through the night. I ate in the pub and the food was excellent, couldn't fault the service or the meal. I had the steak for main course and brownie for desert - amazing! Would definitely stay again if in the area Didn't have time to stay for the breakfast as had to leave early

Amazing stay at the Talbot, thank you all the team that work so hard to ensure we have the best time. Sunday lunch was excellent, and we shall be booking to stay again soon .
