Staff are always friendly and helpful, lovely atmosphere in the pub with a great choice of good value food and beers. Very comfortable room.

Thankful for the fan in a heatwave. Helpful staff and a decent breakfast. Bedroom carpet badly stained. Shower had a lot of mould in it . Loo flush was not attached to the wall.

Great find for a pit stop journey down. Will be back down in a couple weeks. Immaculate bathroom and nice to be able to open be doors of my room to let some air in, it’s been mega hot! Breakfast was plentiful and dinner was yummy, fish and chips 👌

All I can add is that it scores 6*. Definitely would return and recommend.

Very nice stay. Young man - sorry didn't get his name - behind bar who checked me in was excellent, so helpful and polite. Breakfast, however was disappointing. Had to book a specific time slot and when I arrived, having booked and paid the evening before, I was told that they didn't know that I had booked. Was then asked what I wanted to eat with no menu choices and took quite a while to make although only cereals and toast on offer. Dispite this I would stay again as lovely location, friendly atmosphere and cute little room.

noisy particularly lower floor. Guest upstairs were making too much noise. Staff tried helping but no other room was available and they said they would talk to the guest, but nothing changed. TV also was limited to channels and I would expect smart TV for price and quality

Lovely cosy, comfortable room and bed. Roomy, clean bathroom. Lovely view from the garden with plenty of birdsong. Cosy pubgreat value and delicious food and drink. Nice continental breakfast, helpful and friendly staff and owner.

Lovely comfortable room and bathroom. The garden overlooking the field is a nice bonus. Friendly staff and lovely pub.

The room clean a tidy with a really nice duck down duvet, tea and coffee provided + a dresser & chair. Shower was good size and hot. The staff & locals were very welcoming, food was very good. When i am back up that way i will be booking a room here again.

The main room was OK but the bath room needed updating. The radiator in the bathroom was not very good took ages to heat up.

We had a triple room, very comfortable bed and nice room but sofa bed very hard. Great pub and food.

Very nice room. Lovely bar area and brilliant service by staff

The evening meal was quite good, although service in the restaurant and bar was glum. The kettle in the room didn't work, I left a note to tell them but haven't heard from them.
