We have just returned from spending the May Day bank holiday weekend at this fantastic establishment. The hosts cannot do enough for you. Everything is immaculate, with regards cleanliness. Great rooms, great breakfast and great location. Perfect for those who like fossil hunting ( 5 minutes to beach and heritage centre ) and just a 3 mile trip by car to Lyme Regis ( regular buses run from just up the road too) This is the 5th time we have been to this lovely B&B and won't be the last !!

Fabulous place! We stayed 4 nights in a very calm, cosy and clean room. The staff was super nice and the breakfast is delicious. The house is conveniently at a walking distance to Charmouth beach: absolutely perfect pleace for a fossil hunter. I give a 5 stars ratings because 10 stars is unavailable:)

What a gem of a place. Everything about the Hensleigh house was second to none. Very clean, great breakfast, great Room, ample parking. Very friendly and pleasant staff, A 10 minute stroll to the beach one way and 10 minute walk into village the other . Have been to many so called top hotels in our time, and the Hensleigh house would knock spots them. Hopefully going back again this year 👍

I opted to stay at this bed and breakfast as I wanted to visit Lyme Regis and the area. On arrival there was sufficient parking and it was easy to get to. The B&B itself was in excellent immaculate condition both inside and outside with a very modern decor and furnishings. My room was on the first floor but had no view unfortunately, however this did not bother me much. All the amenities were ready available. Attention to detail was good and service was excellent at breakfast time however I felt that the cooked breakfast could be enhanced and the only other comment to make is that there is no restaurant or local eatery within walking distance so you would need to drive if you were to get an evening meal which would be a consideration. I got the local bus to Lyme Regis with ease and it was a very short walk to the bus stop and on returning it was also a short walk down to Charmouth beach and the Heritage Centre and access to the South West Coast Path. Overall a lovely B&B if you want somewhere quieter to stay.
