We stayed at the Dorint because it was close to where our friend lives. It is a nice hotel but pricey. We had lunch there and paid 8 Euros for a bottle of water, which we didn't think was even a liter bottle. The room was nice, AC, Some English channels, clean and comfortable. We had not taken breakfast because they charge about 30 Euros per person for the typical German breakfast. However, we took it for one day because our friend wanted to meet at the hotel and they happened to have a special of 15 Euros per person. We included our friend in the breakfast but the hotel charged us the full price even though we told them she was our guest. What was even more upsetting, is she arrived late and breakfast was closing so all she could get is some cucumbers and tomatoes! She ended up paying for a coffee at the bar! We were not happy to have to pay 30 Euros for a small plate of cucumbers and tomatoes. I realize she was late, but nevertheless, their breakfast is ridiculous at that price especially for what you get.

Excellent in all aspects

Lovely hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the ac worked well. The beds were comfortable and nice feather down duvets and feather pillows. It was nice that the windows opened for fresh air especially when the weather was nice. The hotel offers a nice full buffet breakfast with eggs (to order), sausage, bacon, breads/pastries, fruits, yogurt and more which we added on and took advantage of upon arrival. There is a small grocery store and bakery around the block and a larger grocery store about 10 mins walk. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants within 10 mins walk of the hotel and a beautiful park just up the block. The area was great - very walkable. I will stay here again on my next trip to Hamburg.

Great hotel

All was very fine. The hotel is very good placed . The stuff is friendly and you get all you want at the breakfast. At Eastern all guests got a little bunny infront of the door, very nice.

4 star hotel but hospitality and helpfulness of staff is underwhelming. Repeated issues with one of elevators during our stay which forced us to carry heavy bags down stairs to stay on schedule during checkout/departure. Reception desk didn't answer calls ( 5 mins of trying on two occasions). Some hardware (towel hooks?) missing in bathroom -hardware/screws sticking out of walls.

A nice hotel with lovely staff. Great location with very good transport in and out of the city centre. This is the second Dorint hotel I have stayed in and it has been consistently good

Staff was not helpful or accommodating when informed of the VIP access eligibility

Clean simple hotel.

Excellent quiet location perfect for my purposes. Compact quiet pleasant room and very positive reception. It was two good firm pillows from excellent and I should probably have asked for them.

Friendly place with jolly bar in the evening. Very much a biz hotel. Service understandably slow at quiet times. Sadly my room was noisy at times during the day owing to repairs.
