My room was impeccably clean. The bed was comfortable and there were a couple of places to sit and watch the sea and world go by. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and went out of their way to help. Breakfast was good and the coffee strong. It's a perfect location for exploring Penzance, going for a swim in the Jubilee pool and taking any of the boat trips on offer either to Scilly or wildlife tours. Yes, the carpet / decor could do with updating but that didn't matter to me. The staff and the view out the front window makes this place a true gem.

Breakfast was basic but ok. The spray you're using to clean the bathrooms and wipe down the tables has an unpleasant smell. Room was clean but a bit tired- curtain rail damaged and repaired with a bulldog clip. The view was excellent.

Single room, two night stay. Room was comfortable, good bathroom with plenty of hot water. Floors were a bit creaky though! Excellent buffet breakfast - cereals, yoghurt, fruit and cooked breakfast. I also ate in the restaurant one night, and the food was largely good, though not impressed with the chips. Well located - not in the heart of Penzance but close enough to be accessible. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

Lovely stay in this friendly hotel on the waterfront. Room very clean - though disappointed that all ones with sea view were booked. Only quibble would be no hook in shower room to hang clothes/towel. Great breakfast to start the day! Would stay again 😊

The room was extremely hot, and there was no fan available to help with ventilation. There was also a strong smell of food coming from the kitchen throughout my stay. In addition, the kitchen extractor system appeared to run for much of the day, creating a constant loud noise that only stopped when the kitchen was no longer operating. The hotel's main advantage is its convenient location for catching an early morning ferry. One disappointment was breakfast arrangements. As the kitchen does not open until 8:00 a.m., I was unable to have breakfast before my early departure. I later discovered in the hotel information booklet that a packed breakfast can be prepared for guests leaving early. It would have been helpful if the receptionist had mentioned this at check-in. Overall, I would not choose to stay here again. Considering the price, I did not feel the facilities and overall experience offered good value for money.

Very friendly & helpful

Last minute booking as in the area for work. Swift check in, rooms and communal areas were ok if a little tired but clean. Breakfast staff were a delight and a decent morning meal to set me up for the day. Parking is limited but there are spaces on road.

Large clean side of building room view of the road . Old building so has a sloping floor . Breakfast was okay a help yourself type . Bed was comfortabe enough. It was suitable for my one night stay at an average price for the time of year.

The hotel / inn is very old. I booked this inn because of beautiful picture uploaded in Expedia for sea view. But turn out I made a really bad decision. The sea view on spot is fair only but most importantly, the property is very old. I guess the room decoration has been used for 20 to 30 years with very min. level of maintainance. Just going inside the toilet, I see hair in the sink. Some rubbish is not yet collected. A chair seat has left over of chips. There is no hand held splinker which is very inconvenient for doing shower. No air conditioning and only a fan is provided. The carpet is very old. The toilet is so small. I can't enjoy the sea view actually as my room is just located on the first floor, below is the restaurant that people sitting outside. It is seriously overpriced. For the price I paid, I would expect decent property condition, but not like that.

Staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. Full English breakfast and fish & chips delicious. Not far from seafront, ideal for morning and evening walks. Not too far from town centre. Would thoroughly recommend.

Ropm overlooked sea front and harbour , great .

I recently spent four nights at the Lugger Inn (bed and breakfast) and enjoyed my stay very much. My room was lovely, the dining room staff were cheerful and friendly and the breakfasts were great! The Lugger is well situated on the sea front and although the current roadworks required a detour, normally the walk to the station and buses would only have taken me 15 minutes.

Got a fantastic clean and comfortable room looking out to sea. Staff were helpful and kind.

The staff were very friendly and the room was diligently cleaned every day. The inclusivity of an early breakfast was usful as public transport in Cornwall means I often had to get up early and having food ready was incredibly helpful.

Location , service excellent mattress was uncomfortably soft/mushii zXHall carpeting dirty and torn. Other than that it was great.

Breakfast was excellent , we had a leak from the toilet we reported it straight away nothing was done we spent the rest of the break trying to use the toilet without getting our feet wet
