The hotel had overbooked so we were sent to their sister hotel for the first night. The staff at The Clarion Post were so apologetic and helpful they are a credit to the hotel. We will definitely be back.

Whenever I visit, I prefer to stay at Clarion Post. Great, central location, close to parking and the central railroad station and a broad offering of local commuter options. The hotel staff is always courteous, helpful. The hotel offers excellent amenities, including a roof top pool and a gym. The breakfast is something to enjoy after the morning’s workout.

Fabulous location if going to or from Gothenburg via train or bus. Many trams outside the building for traveling around Gothenburg. Elegant hotel; our room had wonderful windows.

Hotel greatly exceeded our expectations for a reasonably priced (by Scandinavian standards) property adjacent to the main train station. It’s a grand old post office that has been repurposed as a hotel. Impressive exterior & spacious, modernised interior. Comfortable room, lovely breakfast (with barista), popular bar & great dining. Location is a major bonus for train & tram transport. Would highly recommend.

The staff at the hotel are great. Alexandra was really nice when checking me in and finding a room with a view. The hotel is perfectly located across the street from the Central Station. Rooms were tastefully decorated in the tower building.

The hotel was right across the central station. We could walk to all the places. The botanical garden is close by. Trains and buses are easy to access. Food is close by. Very convenient location for tourists

Amazing stay - the double bed room was clean and spacious. It was a beautiful city view. The staff was very helpful and breakfast was amazing - the buffet had everything and was 10/10 The spa was amazing - it costs extra but we had the whole facility to ourselves for 3 hours and went to the rooftop pool as well as sauna and steam room and it was all very well maintained.

The front desk staff are the BEST. Very helpful with everything.

Stylish hotel, very helpful staff and excellent breakfast

Excellent Breakfast. Many choices including hot and cold food and Swedish specialities. Definitely worth the price. Lovely staff, very helpful and patient, fluent in English. There is a very organised, self-service luggage storage that is free of charge. The window in my room is quite big but cannot be opened, so not great ventilation. The room is clean but given the price I'm paying, I'd say this is mostly expected.

The Room itself was very nice. There were not enough towels for two people. The towels and bathrobe that was on the bed seemed tired and dingy looking overall, it felt like the hotel was understaffed because there was a long line at the front desk each time I approached, and no one answered the phone when I tried to call the concierge housekeeping, and the restaurant service was really terrible. However, our stay overlapped with the Gothenburg football derby (?) so I don’t know if that had any impact on staffing. The breakfast was very good. Again, we felt like they were running out of things constantly, but they did work to replenish the dishes. It was almost a case of the people who were working were working really really hard, but that there just wasn’t enough support in any department to provide appropriate service.

The breakfast was excellent!! The on site restaurant is also fabulous! The hotel is right beside the train station as well as a beautiful park along the canal. Lots of shopping around. I’ll definitely stay here again!
