The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom could do with some updating. Several significant cracks in the walls and evidence of water leaks around the heated towel rail and over bath shower head was leaking water out when running the bath taps. We only had one night so not really an issue for us.

Excellent stay. Room clean and comfortable. Room didn’t match the picture with a separate shower cubicle but the bath did have a shower head attachment so it wasn’t an issue. It is an old property so don’t picture everything to be perfect but again nothing affected the stay. Restaurant was good with main and special menus. The breakfast was excellent and included with the price so overall it was excellent value. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful rural setting, new owners and the bar and dining rooms fully renovated in the last few months. Bedroom was a good size and the bed very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and pleasant and the food we had (dinner and breakfast) were excellent.

Because it’s an old property there isn’t enough plug sockets in the room & trying to do my hair without a mirror by a socket & somewhere to sit was pretty impossible So if your not bothered with this it’s a fine place to stay Missed fresh fruit at breakfast

Fantastic stopover on trip down south . Recently refurbished with great food and exceptional staff. Room was a tad small however this was balanced with cleanliness and really nice toiletries. The food was freshly cooked quickly served and a great range of options. Breakfast - amazing and included in price -

Lovely clean room, bed was comfortable. Surprised there was no soap in the bathroom. Plenty of choice in the menu in the evening, served quite quickly and was delicious and hot. Bar prices a bit steep. Staff were pleasant and polite. Parking was free and easy.

Really enjoyed 2 nights at this property. Our room was clean and comfortable with a view over the peaceful countryside. Although not large we had what we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful adding to the cosy atmosphere in the bar/lounge/dining areas. Breakfast was more than adequate and would recommend the restaurant meals.

Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked

The room was immaculately clean, and offered everything we needed. The only downside was we didn’t find the beds very comfy. That could be down to personal choice.

The accommodation was a little tired, but clean enough for the age of the property. The staff were very accommodating and polite, although unfortunately replenishing the coffee/ tea etc in the room hadn't been done and a used cup from the previous occupant was left. Didn't eat at the accommodation, although the breakfast was lovely and plentiful.

Room was lovely, staff were extremely pleasant. 5 stars would come again!!
