We were attending a family celebration and the hotel was very convenient and provided an excellent breakfast.

Older hotel, but clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was included with lots of hot and cold choices.

The room we were assigned had no other seating other than the bed. No sofa or lounge chair. Considering the travel distance to get to Sidney , I find it unacceptable that Mgt decided this was a good idea. Mark the manager was very understanding and changed the room at no charge. This frustration should never have happened and in fact in all my travels this is my first experience in what Hampton considers a basic room. The position taken to offer a basic room does not put the customers needs front and centre by management and I suggest the organization abandons this practice without delay. I m much the wiser now and will be more careful when booking hotels in the future.
