Beautiful, comfortable hotel with a stylish, tasteful design, colourful in the lobby and hallway, cozy and calm in the rooms. Quiet in spite of being situated between the railway track and a parking lot, free parking from 6pm to 9am and on Sun- and holidays. Couldn’t enjoy the apparently comfortable deck furniture on the terrace in front of our room with top to bottom windows due to snowfall 🥶❄️😉. Tea and coffeemaker and fridge in the room, choice of beverages offered by the hotel in the lobby and room. Tastefully furnished and decorated breakfast room with the biggest choice of options I’ve ever had for breakfast in a European city 🤩😍. Very friendly staff. Easy check in check out. 10/10! Thank you very much. Highly recommended.

Located right in the centre of Turnhout with very pleasant, friendly staff. The rooms are a good size and even had complimentary water, beers and chocolate. Strange windows which are low level. Can hear a bit of train noise as it’s right by the station but it was quite low level. Traffic noise in the morning isn’t crazy but noticeable. Breakfast selection was pretty standard for the region but very pleasant.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel! One of the worst hotels I have stayed at in a long time. While I don’t often post negative reviews it’s important that I am honest so I would like to make people aware of a few things: 1. It’s directly situated AT the train station. Which means that your bedroom will have trains running past your window throughout your stay. Not only trains but buses too! ( I will post a picture of my bedroom view for you to visualise). There are also passengers that walk past your bedroom so don’t forget to close the curtains as passer-by’s can see directly into both the bedroom and the bathroom! 2. Attracts low class/ unsavoury characters. Perhaps due to its location ( am not sure ) but the entire check in and check out there were customers that looked downright unsafe and as if they“ worked” in the area. Definitely not recommended for a solo woman travellers or for families! 3. Paper thin walls. We unfortunately had neighbours that were up from 5 am making loud noises. Also because we were on the ground floor ( room 5) we had lots of people walking past and heard talking throughout the night. 4. No parking on site. Even though the website said we could pay 15€ for private parking, the parking bay is opposite the road behind bins in a separate parking lot. We were given a parking bay card to display in our car after we checked in for the parking HOWEVER when we returned from dinner someone else parked in our bay and there was no space in this lot so we ended up having to go look for alternate street parking. Hotel staff do not seem to monitor their parking bays as it’s both outside of their sight & control it seems. 5. Two free beers but no coffee pods for their fancy coffee machine in the bedroom. ( Not trying to be petty but between the trains and the walls I really missed the coffee the next morning!) 🥲 6. The bedroom was clean with nice furniture & fittings. Also the bathroom had a good supply of shampoo, conditioner, lotion. However unfortunately this did not make up for the rest of the poor experience! We did not bother to stay for breakfast so I can’t comment on the restaurant. Bottom line between the thin walls, trains and buses if you are looking for a safe, restful night this is not the hotel for you! Thankfully we had only booked for 1 night and were very happy to leave the next day. This hotel needs their star rating reassessed for sure!

A very interesting hotel, especially considering it used to be a railway station. Be careful if you are bothered by noise, the bus passes through the room while the train passes behind the bus. I personally don't have that problem. The rooms are small but functional. However, I have a complaint regarding the bathroom – the granite tiles combined with the lack of a window give it a cave-like feel. On the bright side, the breakfast selection was fantastic and everything was delicious.
