Lovely independent hotel in the centre of Barnard Castle. Room was really warm, comfy and spacious, had everything we needed and spotless. Staff throughout our visit were fabulous - from reception to housekeeping to bar. Had plans with family who live nearby so didn’t get to try the restaurant but menu looked great and was busy all of the time. Excellent value for money.

Came for a couple of nights. Trip booked as we wanted to go to the Bowes museum.

Very comfortable and spacious en suite room - food was very good - superb breakfast. Staff all very attentive and welcoming- I would highly recommend this establishment!

Staff are really friendly & helpful. Room was spacious, comfy bed, excellent shower, a good sleep was had. Wi-Fi and mobile signal were spot on. Parking in the street was available. Al in all an fabulous place.

The money spent is well worth the investment, this place is safe, clean, warm, cosy, modern and the only place to go to in my opinion.
