Room was tired looking. Not the cleanest room, but ok. The beds were ok but could be updated. The hotel is tired looking, but location is excellent and the views are one of the best.

I wanted to ask my daughter and husband to join us for breakfast. Naturally, we would pay the additional cost, but was declined because it was peak season. When we went for breakfast the next morning over 75% tables were empty for the hour we were there.

Perfect location right on Sandbanks beach and easy to park. Can jump on the chain ferry just outside and walk along Studland beach too. Love the outside heated pool. We stayed in a budget double room which is great value. The room was clean and comfortable it just didn't have a view which was fine. We had dinner at the hotel in the evening which was very disappointing as the menu was nothing like what we had seen online. Breakfast was ok although items ran out fast and were not replaced very quickly.

Needs a huge face lift to modernise the hotel. So unnecessarily out-dated. But the staff other than one were exceptional especial in the reception. Special shoot out to Mariana! Very willing to help and advise and with a smile too.

Amazing location. The beach is on your doorstep. Really friendly staff on arrival. Not so great in the bar and at breakfast. Didn’t have the same personal feeling / vibe for everyone . Could not fault the view or the area surrounding the hotel. Really enjoyed going across the water on the chain ferry. Would visit again for the location.

Hotel now starting to look a bit old and in need of refurbishment. Our room was ok but no TV controller, two fans, one of which was U/S and the other no contoller.

everything was perfect this is our 4th stay and will not be our last, but on a negative and we did ask for a budget room but it still cost 164 pounds and there was plenty of room but the windows looked out at a wall no air we used the small fan provided no natural light very dark sorry to complain but i think the over all feel of the hotel out ways the problem of the room 107. The food, staff and the beautiful location fantastic.

We had such a lovely stay at the Haven Hotel. The location is stunning & you feel like you could be anywhere in the world. The room we stayed in had an amazing view, a comfy bed & a big bathroom. The only slight negative if we had to find one would be that the shower wasn’t very powerful. The outdoor pool was great & everywhere was very clean. It was great to have easy parking onsite. The hotel breakfast was lovely with a wide variety of choice & all members of staff we had contact with were very polite, friendly & couldn’t do enough to help make our stay wonderful. The Haven Hotel is very peaceful as long as you don’t mind the sounds of the sea & the chain link ferry soothing you to sleep. The stunning views extended to the bar area & the restaurant. We will definitely be back - thank you for a brilliant stay!

My wife and I who are both in our seventh and lung cancer survivors and I had a whole knee replacement last year when we arrived we were booked in on the 3rdfloor the lift only went to the 2nd floor we had to use the stairs with our luggage to get to our room which didn't have a fridge witch my wife needed for her medication we got one after we complained it also didn't have a safe or air-conditioning on the plus side the location was perfect but it definitely was not 4 star as you advertised on your site and for what we paid we expected better will not use your site again

Overall a great hotel. A bit worn in places especially pool area. Lovely hotel to take our dog to the beach was accessed through a gate from the hotel and was lovely and dog friendly. The room was very hot and quite unbearable in the hot weathers the staff got us an extra fan but it didn’t help. They need air con. The room did ruin our stay

Arrived and were met by helpful staff at reception, shown to our room which seemed okay but the bathroom wasn’t very clean with hairs in our bath. The pool was warm and clean but the loungers did not look inviting. Decided to use the beach for our two days. Breakfast had a limited choice and was acceptable although the first batch of cutlery we picked up were dirty which again put me off. Overall I would say the hotel is in the ideal position on the beach but is looking so so tired, it’s criminal that no money is being spent on renovating the hotel, instead choosing to wait for planning to go through so that the owners may knock down the haven hotel and replace it with apartments. Customers will continue to visit because it’s ideally positioned in a beautiful part of our amazing country.

Hotel is in an excellent location. The outside swimming pool ,gate access to the beach, and the outside veranda were excellent amenities. Breakfast was very good, with a varied choice. For a 4 star hotel, the decor could have been a bit better. Our bedroom was quite small, extremely hot ( no air conditioning - just a fan ) and wasn't hoovered when we arrived. I appreciate it wasn't one of the upgraded front rooms with view of the water, but could have been much better for a 4 star hotel.

The beach access and both indoor and outdoor pools are what sell this hotel for me. The room was clean but public areas lacked a good clean. Staff lacked any enthusiasm. The breakfast was mediocre. For the room price I was expecting more.

Great location. A bit run down. I was expecting to see Basil Fawlty and Cybil any moment. Lovely to take an old school break. Nice food. Wonderful views of Poole harbour.

Staff were pleasant and managed to helpfully accomodate our early check-in which was much appreciated. But sadly, we were let down by the facilities. The room we were allocated is not accessible by lift. We had help with our bags to the room which was wonderful but did have to struggle down with them. The room was not air conditioned, the beds were ever so soft and there was quite a bit of noise in the early hours (not sure if it was maintenance, deliveries or kitchen) so sleep was not the best. The bathroom had no walk in shower, rather an overbath one - not great when you have back and sciatica problems. There was also some maintenance and modernisation needed - chipped bath soap dish and broken window stay wire. Elsewhere around the hotel lobbies, decoration was needed. Breakfast was sadly a let down for us. It was a buffet and by the time we came down, there were a few slices of uninviting basic slices of bread and fruit and full English breakfast items that had been pawed over by guests who'd come down earlier. So my friend had weetabix with the last bits of milk that was no longer icy cold and I had a muesli with a pot of yoghurt which was nice. I also requested a glass of orange juice as the breakfast juices had finished. The friendly staff member obliged. We didnt venture to the spa or pool during our overnight stay. All in all, lovely staff, beautiful location but extremely poor value for money and a little grotty

Their idea of a room with courtyard view leaves a lot to the imagination. In reality it was a staircase and white brick wall less than a metre from both room windows. Very dark and dingy. Constant smell of cooking from extractor close to window. Bathroom plug allowed water escape, blown lightbulbs making an already dark room very dark. Spoke to staff and nothing was rectified. Very disappointed. .
