We visited Haselbury Mill for their Easter Sunday carvery yesterday and I honestly couldn’t have been more impressed. The food was absolutely delicious - the meat was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavour, and there was such an incredible selection of vegetables. From swede and red cabbage to green beans, peas, cauliflower cheese, roasted parsnips, crispy potatoes, stuffing and Yorkshire puddings… it really was everything you’d hope for (and more!) from a proper carvery. Being able to choose two meats from turkey, beef and gammon for a large plate was a fantastic touch too. I also want to say how lovely the service was. The team were warm, attentive and welcoming throughout - something I’ve experienced time and time again, not just as a guest but as a wedding photographer working at the venue. I genuinely cannot speak highly enough of the staff; they always go above and beyond to create a wonderful experience. I’ve seen a recent review suggesting the carvery has gone downhill, and I have to respectfully disagree. Our experience was the complete opposite - high-quality food, generous portions, and a well-run, friendly service. The bar prices were not extortionate either. It felt every bit like the traditional, comforting carvery you’d expect, just done really well. Plus, the location is perfect. Not too crowded and a great space outside for the kids to run around. Haselbury Mill continues to be a fantastic place to visit, whether you’re there for a meal or celebrating something special. We’ll definitely be back!

Fairytale location for a wedding! Nestled in the beautiful Somerset countryside, this beautifully restored historic mill complex offers a timeless, romantic, and rustic charm. The sprawling manicured gardens, the tranquil river, and the spectacular stone Tithe Barn provide a magical backdrop for photos and celebrations. Impeccable organization, great food, and an unforgettable atmosphere. Definitely recommended 👌🏻.

Fun fact, I got married at Haselbury Mill in 2019! Having had our wedding here, it was just perfect. Now as a wedding videographer, I have had the pleasure of filming a few weddings here, and always excited when I get to come back. Haselbury Mill is a truly special venue with a lot of character and history. The setting is picturesque, with beautiful surroundings with the lake and historic mill that create a lovely backdrop for weddings. The variety of spaces available to include the incredible Tithe Barn & outside ceremony space makes it really versatile, allowing each part of the day to feel distinct while still connected. The atmosphere here is always warm and welcoming. The team are attentive and hardworking, ensuring everything runs smoothly. It’s easy to see why so many couples choose this venue as it offers a fantastic all-round experience. Highly recommend if you are looking to get married here!

This is the first time visiting Haselbury Mill since change in ownership. I had Sunday carvery and really liked it. The food was simple and nicely done, good portion sizes without being over the top. The meat was cooked well and everything on the plate worked. It actually reminded me a bit of the kind of meal you get at Harvester, good, reliable food that does the job, no nonsense. Service was friendly and polite. Staff were attentive when needed and quick to help when we kept asking for things. The atmosphere is a lot quieter than it used to be, but it made for a more relaxed meal which I didn’t mind. Overall, really nice to have somewhere local doing this kind of straightforward, dependable food. I usually go to the Harvester in Taunton for something like this, so it’s great to have a similar option much closer to home.

Haselbury Mill is an amazing place to have your wedding. The atmosphere, the food, the staff and the venue is incredible. Beth is an absolute asset to Haselbury and I have no doubt that she will keep making their venue be the best it can. Thank you for looking after us! The only note was that we had a Feb wedding and the rooms in the main building was cold but it didn't detract from anything!
