The Colonial was a nice, clean, affordable hotel for an overnight. The pool and hot tub were not operational (but look very nice. I had a poolside room). Staff were helpful, check in and out was quick. Breakfast was standard (waffle machine, some hot sausages, and a tub of eggs), but again this is simple lodgings. Best was the location, across from great eateries and pubs. Would definitely stay again when in Brandon.

Rooms were dirty. Was urine on floor and wall of bathroom. No pool or hot tub as was down for maintenance but weren’t advised to that till after check in. Paint peeling off everything card scanner on door didn’t work half the time ac barely worked

Didn't actually end up staying for our booking. There was people outside the building all the time smoking both pot and cigarettes. When you get to your room you can hear everyone whether it was upstairs out in the hall or in the pool area. We had someone try to break into the room and had to call front desk because he wouldn't leave when we told him wrong room. We had our 6 year old with us who was terrified to sleep after so at 930pm we packed our things and left we were so uncomfortable. We were denied a refund from the hotel when asked. Do not recommend at all to anyone. Don't waist your money.

Was a nice quiet stay, stayed here a few times always a place I stay. Breakfast is great. Staff are so helpful! Never tried the pool or hot tub next trip :)

The hotel was not clean. Very dated and a strong smell of weed (marijuana) in the halls. It appeared the staff were vacuuming and cleaning the halls but our bathroom was not clean and the whole place looked very dingy. I would have liked to have used the pool but didn't trust that it was clean. The staff was nice. The hotel was very quiet at night.

I have never felt so unsafe in my life, so many vagrants standing around the outside of the building at all entrances. Couldn't even have my room window open because of all the cigarettes and weed smoking. I truly felt like I was staying at a hotel in the north end of Winnipeg. The room smelt like old man aftershave and the carpet had a weird stickiness to it. I was completely and utterly disgusted.

Could not understand the girl at the registration desk. Told me they didn’t have the room I reserved on Expedia anymore. The tv in the room didn’t work took 2 hrs to get the cable working. I won’t stay there sgain

Not very good hotel.

Very conveniently situated near a major road close to all services and dining. But surprisingly quiet during the night.

Clean rooms, friendly staff.

We had just a quick little stay, we needed a break from camping across Canada . Thought we would treat our self to an inexpensive inn stay . Met with the night front desk man at 1230 and he was super great, kind and helpful with everything ! Then heading to our room there was funny smells . Our room had stains on everything, residue on the wall , a torn apart bottom of bathroom door , minimal towels and soap. We had a couple stains on the duvet so we just didn’t use it just incase . The pool did look really good though but we didn’t have time to use because this was just a sleeping quick turnover for our family. Wouldn’t have minded all these details if I didn’t have small kids who wanted to touch everything . Did make aware to front desk of the shape of everything and manager kind of gave it a is what it is response and their working on it . But I kind of get the vibe they didn’t take careful cleaning in a long time so now it’s to far gone and things need a replacement .i guess oh well get what you pay for . But the night man working a+ I really appreciated his kindness .

Central location. Lots of food and shopping options nearby. Reasonable rates.

Was a good stay bed were comfortable hotel little run down but signs of remodeling pool area freshly remodeled quite area walking distance to mall and restaurants

Good bang for your buck.

Decent place for the price. Older hotel that could use some renovations, but staff are friendly and the location is convenient. Hot tub was not hot enough, but pool area was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was ok but the hot plate was not great. Overall would recommend for short stays or budget friendly vacations. It is pet friendly!

Clean safe and good value

Overall good hotel for the price. Nothing extraordinary but it will have everything you need for a stay.
