This is an amazing hotel/b&b. The hosts are lovely and the breakfasts are fantastic. The location is spot on with easy access to the beach, shops, arcades. Ideal for long walks on the beach. Would definitely recommend the Cumberland as a place to stay and I certainly hope to go back and stay there again. A wonderful gift from my daughter and a wonderful weekend we had. Love Weymouth x

I had a lovely stay at the Cumberland Hotel. Mark, the owner, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was impressive—everything was thoughtfully arranged, from the plentiful extra towels to the little surprises like sweet treats, drinkable bottled water, and even a pair of binoculars in the drawer! The breakfast was delicious and well-prepared, and the hot shower was just what I needed after a long day. The only downsides were things outside the hotel's control. There was some road noise between 10:00 and midnight due to the busy seafront location, and the beds could have been more comfortable. Still, these were minor issues compared to the overall experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming stay with great attention to detail.

Stayed for a weekend at the Cumberland with family of three. No problem booking online, cheaper directly with hotel rather than third party sites. Rooms clean and comfortable, family room had double, single and sofa bed, en suite with bath and shower, tea, coffee, kettle etc.. There's no fan in the room so was hot in the summer heat and at night, but window opens. Location was perfect, right on the seafront across from the beach. If driving there is short term and residents parking around the hotel area but gets very busy. The hotel kindly provides parking permits for guests to park in the bays for no cost, which we did. Town centre, harbour, train station and attractions all within 5-10 min walking distance. Lots of eateries nearby especially in harbour area. Recommend Seabeats seafood restaurant near the hotel, had lovely seafood meal there. The hosts were friendly and kind and the breakfast was also excellent. Cereals, juice, fruits, yoghurt, hot breakfast made to order. Nice start to the day. Really enjoyed our trip to Weymouth and the Cumberland was the perfect location to enjoy it from.

We had a warm welcome from Mark, it's in a great location, lovely breakfast - lots of choice and very clean room. A fridge would have been handy, especially this weekend and the shower was not the easiest to use - temperature adjustment difficult. Overall we had a lovely stay.
