This is a wonderful hotel, in a colonial town of San Cristobal de las Casas. The staff is great and helpful. The continental breakfast was very good; the fruit was fresh, bread was delicious and coffee was surprisingly delicious. My room was very clean, lots of towels, the mattress was comfortable, not hard and the pillows were soft and medium, exactly the way I like them. The shower had a strong pressure, with hot water, which is a must in any hotel in a small town in Mexico. I would suggest you ask for a room on the second floor, on the left side, because there’s a Disco at the end of the block and lots of restaurants where the young crowd gathers at night. I slept very comfortable, did not hear a sound and the cleaning lady was so attentive to any room items you may need. I think this is the biggest hotel in town, right in front of the plaza and close to restaurants, which are many and walking distance to everything you may want to see. There’s really no need to take a taxi, unless you’re going on a tour, then a comfortable van, with AC, will pick you up at your hotel. I came solo for 5 days of relaxation and was very happy I stayed here, I shall return.

Todo excelente, solo que en la noche se escucha un ruido constante proveniente se algún motor dentro del hotel y si eres sensible al ruido o deja dormir bien

Yes,but the floors were very cold they could have a little heat in the room to make it more pleasant .

Excellent super friendly staff. I felt very welcomed! They Even changed us to downstairs room to accommodate my senior mom who can’t climb stairs. Room was very clean and hotel location was excellent! Loved my stay here.

Wonderful hotel. Staff was great and the rooms were clean in a great location, right across the street from the main park and zocalo. The only issue was that the Internet was spotty at times and would be unavailable for short periods which is typical with hotels in older building.

Me negaron una coca sin azucar como bebida de cortesia. La persona de la recepcion insistio que solo podia ser sprite, fanta o una cerveza. Algo bastante ridiculo en mi opinion. El internet no funciona en algunos de los cuartos.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. So close to everything relaxing. The staff are amazing and do try to make your stay a great experience.

People and location were great. Window was broken- would not close- fixed quickly. Pillows still need an upgrade- hard/uncomfortable.

Hotel itself is nice, it’s located in an amazing area but it is not sound proof. You can hear every single noise from both inside and outside the hotel all day and all hours of the night. There is a night club close by I am guessing because the thumping and bass of the music ran until about 4am. Noticed that Sunday there was no music. If I had known I would have brought ear plugs or my white noise machine.

Great location and friendly staff. This is my hotel of choise when I'm in San Cristobal. However, after arriving late, we inquiered about our welcome drinks (expedia benefits). We were shown some coupons and we asked whether we could use them the following day because it was late at night after a long trip. The person in the front desk said no. This lack of flexibility was a bit unwelcoming and not very service-oriented in my opinion.

First room what they gave has bad smell coming from bathroom pipe.

The beds are very hard- like sleeping on the floor. Pillows were incredibly hard/firm. Sleeping on the floor with rocks as the pillow. Entire group of ten all made this comment. Staff is wonderful! Very clean

Bathroom was in need of updating Not enough amenities. No lotion or body wash. Only one bar of soap. Shower doors need to be repaired. Not on the track.

Beautiful old world hotel. Clean a very well maitained. Locatio is awesome except for the disco next door the thilumped till 3:30am monday -sat. Other wise would be a 10 out 10

Location is really good! Restaurant excellent, the waiters were smiling and very helpful! The only inconvenience is that the water in the shower is not hot enough and the water pressure is very low!!
