Everytime me and my wife entered the lobby It had a wonderful unique smell

Check-in was fast and easy, less than 2 minutes. The room is big and comfortable, however the AC setting to Auto causes it to turn off and on every 20-30 minutes, making it very noisy and uncomfortable as it would get warm when off and then cold when on. In hindsight, I could have set it to "constant on" to keep the temperature stable all night. Bed sheets and towels are in poor condition. The lobby has a very pungent smell to chemical cleaner smell all day. As the breakfast restaurant is in the lobby area, the smell is present while you eat, not nice. The breakfast is a buffet style, generally well stocked and varied. One day the scrambled eggs tray was cold, small stuff but this speaks of lack of attention to detail. The hotel is located in a great area, within walking distance of many restaurants, bars and shops. We ate at El Trapiche, Panamanian food and Lucca, Italian food. Both gave great service and the food was great. Recommended. The hotel staff was very friendly at all times, they kept our luggage after check-out until it was time to head to the airport. Overall, a great price/value option. The negatives come more from a lack of attention to details and a few maintenance points that can be improved quickly.

Nice and large but plain clean room. Very friendly staff. Great location near lots of shops and restaurants. I would stay there again.

Whenever I visit Panama City, I always stay in the Zen Best Western Hotel. It is surrounded by good small local coffee shops and restaurants, very local vibes, quiet, safe, close to the main attractions, and the airport with basic breakfast included. Some rooms need updating, but overall, it is a very clean hotel with professional staff. The only downside was the weak Wi-Fi inside the room.

Was there with my 6yr old son and mother. The roof top pool offered a great view and was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Absolutely will stay here again. Also a great location plenty of restaurants around in walking distance.

Place looks run down, carpets are worn and not properly vacuum. Towels looked old and yellowish.

We had to wait awhile for our room to be be cleaned, but everything else was excellent. Great breakfast, clean room, nice staff.

El lugar cumple, es limpio, el personal muy simpático, muy cercano al metro y tiene buen desayuno. Eso si, es un poco caro para lo que ofrecen. Hay detalles que pueden mejorar, por ejemplo, el café de cortesía debería ser uno por cada huésped y diario, no solo 1 cápsula por habitación para toda la estadía. Para eso mejor no tener cafetera en el dormitorio.

We enjoyed the bed and the room is quiet. Breakfast is buffet style and self serve. A good variety and delicious.

We were so pleasantly surprised by this reasonably priced hotel! The staff was very accommodating, the atmosphere was nicely appointed, the room was clean and comfortable, the pool was wonderful with epic views of the city, and the breakfast rivaled some RESTAURANT’S breakfast options. Fresh delicious fruit, a salad bar, home made chicken soup, and stewed beef, along with all your traditional bfast faves. Close proximity to many restaurants and coffee bars. Highly recommend. And will return if back in the area again.

A major highlight was undoubtedly the hotel's exceptional location. It was incredibly convenient to be within comfortable walking distance of such a diverse and plentiful selection of restaurants and dining establishments, which greatly enriched my evenings and made exploring the local culinary scene effortless. Furthermore, the complimentary breakfast service was a significant added benefit. This amenity truly enhanced the overall value of my visit. My only constructive feedback pertains to the absence of a microwave. I was quite surprised to find that neither the individual rooms nor a common area provided access to this amenity. Having a microwave would have been incredibly helpful for reheating leftovers from local eateries or preparing quick, simple meals, and its unavailability proved to be a minor inconvenience. I believe offering this facility would greatly improve the practical comfort and convenience for future guests.

I enjoyed this hotel and the staff and maid I had were very helpful. Nice breakfast and lovely rooftop pool and cafe upstairs.
