Comfy bed. Perfect location opposite the beach. Friendly staff and great value breakfast. Basic but adequate and value for money

Excellent location right opposite the beach, with a carpark next door. An easy 10 minute walk to the old town for restaurants, shops, etc. We had a "new" room with our own terrace giving a nice view of town and sea. It was, apart from the dreadful lilac tiles in the bathroom, very nice and very comfortable. Looking at other reviews it seems that some of the other rooms may not be quite so nice, so ask for rooms 11a or 11b. Free loungers and umbrellas on a nearby beach. Alberto and staff were very friendly and helpful up to a point. Not exactly forthcoming with info, but our few questions were answered. Breakfast was ok, though it would have been nice if the fresh fruit had been a bit riper (and therefore edible). The building is quite quirky and unassuming. Very nice garden. One major gripe (which other reviewers have mentioned) - the wifi reception was dreadful and very unreliable - time for a new router I think? All in all a good place to stay in Cefalu without breaking the bank.

This is a nice family-run hotel right on the beach. It is about 10 min walk from downtown Cefalu, and 5 min walk to a large grocery shop. The stuff of the hotel was very friendly and accomodating. The hotel has a convenient free parking lot (it is a nightmare to park in the old town) and free wifi. The hotel also has a small garden where one can relax.

We arrived at 11.20pm and parked in the free car park (just a small plot of land next to the hotel). We were greeted warmly then taken to our room promptly. Very nice, clean, modern room with good power shower and fridge (but not very cold). It was mid April so out of season (starts June) so not too busy at the hotel or in the town which is a 10 minute walk away. Our breakfast was included in our price and was a tray served to our table, either inside or out, and a mix of bacon and egg with bread and continental (with a local orange!). We were offered free refills of coffee if we had wanted it. Picture-postcard scenery and lovely beach just across the road. WiFi in the room was good at first but then kept dropping out as the hotel got busier. Rooms are accessible from the outside with their own key, so no curfews. Bedroom was made up every day but they only supply towels and hand wash. Plenty of places to eat in the old town at reasonable prices. Plenty of souvenir shops too! Local supermarket is a 5/10 min. walk away. We hired a car at the airport (beware of the need to buy accident and breakdown insurance! We booked the hire car in the UK for £4 a day but when we got to the desk in Palermo, were persuaded to buy the £79 insurance for 3 days. We didn't need it, but it came close a couple of times!) and drove into the mountains - not to be ventured into lightly- but so worth it! Breathtaking views and historical buildings (eg. Castle in Caccamo). Would definitely use again.

Cefalu is beautiful! Luciano and the rest of the Villa Cerniglia staff were brilliant, took amazing care of us! Perfect location, just across the road from the beach.

I can't say enough good about the staff...so very helpful! The location is great...walking distance from the center of Cefalu. We loved the AMAZING breakfast on our balcony while we watched the ocean waves. We really enjoyed our stay! Grazie mille!

I can't say enough good things about Villa Cerniglia, the owner Alberto will make you feel more than welcome to be staying at his B&B , always giving a friendly welcome each time you see him. We stayed 6 nites .Easy to find the property. Lots of parking on the property. The private beach is just a couple minute walk down the road and across the street at a place called something 12, there is also free wireless there and the beach is great and there are recliners and umbrella along with fresh water shower. Breakfast was sometimes difficult to be up for for my wife and I 8-10 or something like that, we were always up and or out late enjoying Cefalu. Albertos future son-in-law is really the star attraction, he can be quite funny in his own way and has a very nice way about himself. Don't drive yourself nuts trying to get best meal for best buck, its just down the road at Al Gabbiano Restaurant, the owner will be the guy being the friendliest guy on the floor , food is excellent and his team of waiters are top notch. We had met a couple gentleman that were from new York one nite while eating and ended up closing the the place at 1am and the restaurant was in no hurry to kick us out. This is a very nicely run establishment in italy standards and I would highly recommend a stay. Maria and Lynn

Vi bokade rum med sea view men när vi kom fram sa de att på alla rum står det Seaview när man bokar från Expedia/hotels.

En general bien, dado que está bien ubicado y buenos accesos. Si bien es nuevo el local le faltan algunos detalles a mejorar : al baño le faltan toalleros , porta rollo, jaboneras ,etc. El desayuno es bastante limitado . Buena atención de su propietario y del personal.

Ottimo albergo a due passi dal centro storico di Cefalu. Gradevole anche la spiaggia frontemare. Personale gentile, ottima colazione sulla terrazza

Nice and friendly staff took care of us even though it was off season. The grade would have been higher if not for the maintenance and construction during our stay.

Hinta-laatu-suhde kunnossa. Hyvä palvelu, mainio aamupala ja lähellä sekä ranta että nähtävyyksiä. Huone oli melko vanha ja vähän rapistunut, mutta kohtuullisen siisti. Wi-Fi toimi hiukan hitaasti.

Bra läge för strand och bra promenad in till stan

Gebucht wurde ein Appartment für eine Nacht. Das Haus liegt direkt am Strand, hat einen Parkplatz am Haus (Parkplatznot an der Promenade und im Ort ist normal). Bei Ankunft war der Gastgeber überrascht und offensichtlich überbucht (Personalaussage). Das Haus wäre wahrscheinlich OK gewesen. Uns wurde mit blumigen Worten ein viel "besseres Appartment" in Cefalu (ca. 15 Fußmin. entfernt) angepriesen, das sollte auch noch 2 €(!) weniger kosten. Das Auto sollte am Haus geparkt werden, wir würden gefahren werden. Gutgläubig hatten wir uns zunächst überreden lassen. Das Ergebnis: Nach und nach stellte sich heraus, dass das Apartment an der Fußgängerzone lag (Auto 15 min entfernt) in einem stark abgewohnten Haus. Bis spät in die Nacht und morgens ab 5 Uhr gab es eine erhebliche Geräuschkulisse. Der Boden war unzureichend gesäubert (Flusen alte Haare, auch im frisch bezogenen Bett), Sitzkissen fleckig, Überzug verschlissen, Austrittsbalkon voll Müll und Taubenkot, Bad: Duschschlauch gerissen, Stange angerostet, Geschirr nicht sauber, sichtbare Staubschichten (z. B. auf der Lampe) usw. Kurzum: Wir fanden, dass das Quartier weit vom gebuchten Standard entfernt war, dass wir mit unehrlichen Worten in ein Apartment gelockt wurden und auch noch bis auf 2 € den gleichen Preis zahlen sollten. Wegen der schwierigen Umstände mussten wir eine Nacht in Kauf nehmen. Durch massiven Druck wurde eine mäßige preisliche Nachbesserung erreicht. Daruafhin wurden wir erpresst die Buchung zu stornieren.

Excelente ubicacion para los dias de playa y a no mas de diez minutos de caminata del Centro historico y de la Marina de Cefalú . Desayuno normal no excesivo y por el viento no pudimos aprovechar el tomarlo sobre la terrazita del hotel con vista al maravilloso mar.

Hotel très bien situé en bord de mer et pas très loin du centre de Cefalu. Service impeccable et patrons très sympas.
