Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are amazing. The hotel and rooms are a little tired in places but for the price, cleanliness and staff it’s one of my favourite places to stay in the area

Rooms and shared areas are spotless. The staff are fantastic and lovely to deal with. The hotel is a little tired, but the cleanliness and staff more than make up for it.

For a night stay hotel was suitable for our needs. You can tell the rooms are very dated. The chair for the desk has peeling leather and was wonky. AC/Heating wasn't working properly. The outdoor card lock to annex wasn't functional. Anyone could walk into the building to be honest. Bed was comfortable. Staff i had encountered were nice.

The lift was faulty and remained so throughout my 1 week stay. No attempt to repair it. Also the internet was not available for streaming, only for your phones. The room heater had a mind of its own and didn’t work properly. The cleaning crew did a swell job. Breakfast was okay but no variety.

Room 30 was in adjacent building with no heating. There was an electric radiator heater which was inadequate and not in good condition. When we complained the solution was to add an even worse condition electric radiator.

It was room 50, at the top of the hotel, up two flights of stairs without working lift. Shabby bathroom, poor lighting and no full length mirror.

A bit noisy with people stomping around above but overall very nice and will definitely come here again.

The walls were paper thin you could hear everything, every time someone opened and closed the door to the annex building. The toilet leaked, the bed was sunken on one side. Overall, not a great experiance.

My stay was horrific. I paid £155 for this room. The carpets were filthy. The bed was broken. The bath didn’t drain correctly. The overflow on the bath was leaking so the water was going down into the room underneath the TV didn’t work not good at all Very run Down.

Dinner finishes at 8pm/ there is no room service. I was with my daughter for an early appointment and the tv wasn't working in either of our rooms, the staff said they'd help but then didn't. We had planned to watch tv and get room service and have an early night this wasn't possible. I upgraded us both to an executive room both were disabled rooms and both carpets were disgustingly filthy. My bathroom was very dirty and the shower sprayed everywhere as it was clogged with dirt. We went to have breakfast and my cutlery had food on and after the whole experience we couldn't face the food and left and had breakfast elsewhere, I am still waiting for my breakfasts to be refunded as we didn't have them. This is the first hotel I've stayed in on expedia that I would encourage them to remove, it definitely isn't a 4 star I would give it 2 but then with an expectation they clean the carpets and mould and have a better kitchen hygiene.
