Excellent stay at this small hotel. Great pub , delicious food, dinner and breakfast. Super friendly staff. Excellent choice for all the delights of the suffolk coast.

Had a great stay, loved the village, our room was very comfortable and the food was delicious!

We stayed one night, myself and my two teenage children in the family suite. It was a gem of a hotel. Clean, very nicely decorated. Great bedroom and bathroom. Really comfy bed (and I am very fussy). Beautiful towels and toiletries. Nice food in the evening, fabulous breakfast. We didn’t make it down for the complimentary canapés but I am sure we will be back.

An excellent hotel. Super service from everyone we met. We ate in the restaurant and the food was superb as was breakfast this morning. Our room was well appointed, spotless, warm and comfortable. The whole experience was brilliant. A real country hotel feel yet with levels of service up there with the best one would expect from a city based one. We will definitely be back.

Lovely location. Room well equipped and clean. Breakfast excellent as were all the staff.

Stayed in Swan room. Spacious bedroom and en-suite. Large shower head and small shower tray meant water escaped onto en-suite floor. Breakfast excellent but cold milk with hot coffee led to cold coffee. Staff happily supplied hot milk on request. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Bar and Dining Room attractive, food good, staff (mostly) helpful. Room, in adjacent development, awful: accessed only via steep, external flight of open stairs. No offer to assist elderly customers, ( Blue Badge holder), with luggage in poor weather. Small and cramped accommodation. Velux-style skylight in sloping roof with no other windows or view out.

Amazing stay from pre-check-in to check out. Clean room with amenities. We took our dog and they provided a dog bed, towel, water bowl and treats. Perfect bolthole for a stay away. We sat and played games in the snug area of the bar with an open fire for the afternoon. There’s complimentary canapés from 5:30pm and the restaurant had dishes for all dietary requirements. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We will be returning again.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Recommendation from Vanessa were well received. Breakfast was tasty & had a good selection. Nice pre Christmas break. Bathroom had a lovely roll top bath to relax in.

The room had a super cute cottage vibe, the breakfast was great, and the staff were all really friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful room, we stayed in the separate rooms outside from the main building. Extremely warm welcome with a tour of the stunning pub. We were invited for complementary canapes - which unfortunately we couldn't make. Huge room and bathroom with a little terrace. Massive comfy bed. Breakfast was really premium with awesome vegan option. Very quiet surroundings. Perfect location to grab a morning run on Dunwich Heath. Parking was easy and safe. Loved every minute and will definitely be back.
