I just came back from a marvelous weekend here. This onsen ryokan is a place where the hotel is the destination. The city itself doesn't seem to offer much entertainment, but that's okay. The hotel is great for an affordable, tranquil weekend eating great food and relaxing in onsen. There are multiple baths, massage chairs, and nice areas to just sit and chill. My only complaint was that though bedding was provided, we were given a single futon to lay on so it was difficult to sleep on the hard surface. I'm sure that if we were to politely ask for more futons we would get them. Service was great, as the staff was so welcoming. The hotel itself was a bit outdated looking in many of the public areas, but it was okay. Everything was clean and well-maintained. This place also includes a gift shop, a banquet hall, a kid's corner, and a karaoke room.
